Stark Skincare Grapefruit Cleanse + Hydrate Balm, Jouer Glistening Powder and Tacha Aburatorigami Blotting Papers are a few of my favorite products. Of course, there was a point in time where they were new to me. The discovery and testing of products that will eventually be the ones we can’t live without is what makes the trial and error of being a beauty addict so fun. Channeling this very concept is my new online obsession, Hip Apotheca. It’s an online eco-apothecary that sells some of my existing favorite brands, like One Love Organics and TAY, and others that I am just starting to get to know, like John Masters Organics and Yarok.
Hip Apotheca created a “Future Favorites” box, filled with deluxe samples of products aimed to treat you from head to toe. The brands featured are those you’ll find in Hip Aptheca’s awesome-sauce e-boutique, and are a great way to sample. The first edition of the Future Favorites box contained a brand that is primed to be a favorite of mine: Yarok. It means “green” in Hebrew and the brand uses organic formulations and all-natural botanicals to “feed your hair.” The Feed Your Volume Shampoo and Conditioner is very nourishing and gives my strands a voluminous look. Some volumizing shampoos can be drying, but Yarok’s contains no alcohol or drying agents. Instead, Feed Your Volume uses Coco Protein, Seaweed Extract, plant extracts and essential oils to fortify the hair.
If you watched this week’s episode of the Real Housewives of New York, you may have noticed Aviva and Carol getting a hair and scalp treatment at the Yarok Beauty Kitchen NYC. Carol was downloading Aviva on the London trip. (For the record, I did gymnastics, too!)
