The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Exclusives unveiled earlier this month are almost coming to an end so I thought I should share my picks from the sale before it ends this weekend, the things I’m lusting over as we speak.
You probably know by now that Nordstrom does not have sales on beauty but what they do instead is offer fantastic values with sets from brands we all know and love. Some items are discounted (more on that below) but most are value priced, not to mention exclusive to Nordstrom for the time being.
Ready? Here we go!
Clarisonic The Oasis Collection – Mia 2 St. Tropez Sonic Skin Cleansing System – $149
If you haven’t hopped on the Clarisonic bandwagon yet, now is the the time! I love anything in a chevron print, anything, and this St. Tropez Mia 2 from the Oasis collection stole my heart immediately. It comes with a pink travel bag, (2) sensitive brush heads, a charger and a full sized version of Clarisonic’s Refreshing Gel Cleanser. Not into chevron? No problem, the Ibiza Sarong pattern or bright neon colors may be more your speed.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple Duo – $52
This cleanser has become my go-to cleanser over the past year and this duo is the perfect solution to my current shortage situation. This duo comes with a mega-sized 32oz. bottle with a pump and a more travel-friendly 8oz. size. This cleanser is fantastic at breaking down heavy eye makeup and acts as your cleanser and toner in one. It has all this power but is gentle at the same time without drying or stripping your skin. I wasn’t always sold on Purity Made Simple but when I started using it this past fall, I started wondering why I hadn’t paid it more attention in the past. Valued at $93, this is one hell of a deal.
Trish McEvoy Power of Makeup Planner Collection – $168
The office supply nerd in me really loves Trish McEvoy’s planner system, so much so that I got my first planner years ago during the anniversary sale. The genius of Trish McEvoy’s planner system is that it takes product and places it onto “pages” that fit in the planner’s “binder”. This “binder” also has pockets that you can store brushes, liners, mascaras and the like to make all your makeup extremely portable and travel friendly. You can pick up Trish’s limited edition pages or build your own pages with pans of products sliding into magnetized pages. With the Power of Makeup Planner collection, Trish McEvoy is giving you the best of both worlds with a planner that includes a page with Bronzer in Sunlit, Dual Resort Highlight, Illuminating Cream Blush and a translucent finishing powder. There’s also her Dramatic Lash Mascara, Intense Gel Eyeliner, Instant Eye Light, Eye Base Essentials in Pink Bare and a Long-Wear Lip Liner in Barely Nude. Last but not least, a new Little Black Card that features 8 eyeshadows and 8 lip colors. These are perfect when you want to carry the bare minimum with you.
NARS Schiap & Dolce Vita Lip & Nails Sets and Cheek Palette – $52 & $49
I’m always excited to see what the NARS Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Exclusives are going to be. This year NARS did not disappoint with lip and nail trios in their best selling shades and a cheek palette to boot. For the lip and nail sets, NARS took their iconic Schiap lipstick and paired it with a Schiap lip gloss and nail polish. The same goes for their Dolce Vita lipstick set. Schiap is a great, vibrant shade for summer and Dolce Vita is a fantastic dusty rose every woman should have. As for the cheek palette, NARS included their infamous Orgasm (peachy pink with gold shimmer) along with Laguna (brown with gold shimmer, Mistinguette (bright pink) and Goulue (neutral pink).
Deborah Lippmann Recipe for Love Trio – $29
Deborah Lippmann’s Anniversary Sets are always at the top of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Exclusives haul list. Even when I resolve to be a good girl there’s always one exclusive that makes its way into my shopping bag and that is Deborah Lippmann’s sets because I’m a hardcore Deborah Lippmann girl. This Recipe for Love trio features three small sized nail polishes in staples shades like You Got Me (dove grey creme) and Let’s Stay Together (mauve plum creme). For the cherry on top, Deborah included Make Someone Happy, a blush pink glitter polish.
Voluspa Maison Jardin Two-Wick Candle Trio – $29.50
Nordstrom always brings in a great selection of Voluspa trios for their anniversary sale in addition to what their offer year round. This year they are offering three trios and Maison Jardin is my favorite of the three. The other two feature warmer scents perfect for fall and winter but the Maison Jardin trio is right on target for this season as it has more floral and citrus based notes in each candle. This trio includes Yuzu Rose Stonecrop, Sake Lemon Flower and Linden and Dark Moss. If you have never experienced a Voluspa candle, this is a great way to get your feet wet with their line. The candles themselves really fill up a room with their fragrance without being overpowering and the wax burns very evenly, a problem I often have with other candles with more than one wick. Not only that, how gorgeous are these tins?
So what have you picked up this year? What do you have your eye on? This gal is trying to behave herself so she hasn’t hauled very much this year. I’ve stuck to the Philosophy Purity duo, the Deborah Lippmann set and the candle trio. I may go back for a fragrance… and a handbag. I’m undecided. 😉
