The China Glaze Up and Away collection has been one of my favorite releases this year. I love creme formulas in polishes and this collection stole my heart with its bright shades and creamy pastels. There’s a shade for every gal in this collection and I’ve collecting all of them. 😉
The collection includes:
- Grape Pop – bright plum
- Sugar High – petal pink
- Something Sweet – cotton candy
- Light As Air – periwinkle
- Heli – Yum – raspberry
- Flyin’ High – teal
- Four Leaf Clover – kelly green
- Re–Fresh Mint – spearmint
- Peachy Keen – nectar
- High Hopes – guava
- Happy Go Lucky – sunshine yellow
- Lemon Fizz – banana
I’m still experimenting with photographing nail polish so please excuse my shots if they are not the prettiest out there but I wanted to show you what a few of my favorites from this collection look like on the nail. Also excuse the application, not perfect by far but at least it gives you an idea…
Peachy Keen is my favorite of the bunch, riding high on the wave of peachy/coral shades we are seeing for spring. This shot has 3 coats, it was a tad streaky for me but I love the shade so much that I forgive it.
Of the two yellow shades in the collection, Lemon Fizz is the lightest and the one I like the best. I had to apply 3 coats to get it to a level that I liked though, I found it a tad streaky as well.
Heli-Yum is a great creamy magenta shade. I’m trying to branch out from reds and this has been a fun way for me to do it, especially on my toes.
Ever since I caught of glimpse of Mismas from Rescue Beauty Lounge, I’ve been wanting to bring more purple shades in to my stash. Grape Pop is a great way to bring a little more purple into your life. It seems a little dark in certain lighting but still a fun shade nonetheless.
And here is Flyin’ High. I love this shade of blue, if you took a peek inside my closet, you’d see that so I couldn’t pass this shade up.
Next week I’ll show you some swatches from the new Poolside summer collection from China Glaze. Did you pick up anything from this collection? Let us know in the comments.
