T3 Featherweight 2 & Drybar Blowout In-a-Box Hair Dryers

Now lets talk blow dryers, specifically the T3 Featherweight 2 High Performance Hair Dryer and the Drybar Blowout In-a-Box Hair Dryer. These were the next set of tools QVC sent us for our Best Hair Tools category test drive.

Both of these drastically cut down dry time and left our hair looking less frizzy and healthier than your average blow dryer found in the aisles of your favorite drugstore. Granted, it comes with a much bigger price tag but we think the benefits and time saved in the morning make that cost totally justifiable… and absolutely worth it. Kayla and I tested both of these blow dryers and quickly came to realize why each one is nominated for a QVC Customer's Choice Beauty Award.

Drybar's Blowout In-a-Box Hair Dryer really aimed to give your the blow out experience found in their salons in the comfort of your own home and really knocked it out of the park. They suggest working in sections, it is the most crucial part to achieving smooth, silky hair. Luckily, the blow dryer includes 4 Drybar clips which are phenomenal (they can hold ALL of our hair, and we've got a lot of it, with just one clip). It is also really customizable with 3 heat settings and 3 levels of heat you can choose from so you decide just how much heat you're putting on your hair. We like to use the higher, hotter heat settings when we first start blow drying, then once the hair is only damp, lower the heat settings and finish it off by using a brush.

It also has a cool shot button. Unlike most blow dryers where you have to hold down the cool shot button the whole time, with this it's just one click and you're free to let go. The cool shot is helpful when trying to create waves or volume with a brush. To give your ends some bounce an wave, just wrap your ends around your round brush, heat it thoroughly, then hit it with the cold air until its cooled. When you unroll the brush, you have a nice bouncy wave! This blow dryer is super light weight, too. It makes it easy to hold it for 10-15 minutes while you achieve the ultimate blow out. Check out this blow dryer if you're looking to feel like a pro and mastering the blowout.

The T3 blow dryer is no mediocre styling tool either. It's powerful, efficient, and well worth the price tag as well. We use to be firm believers in not needing to spend much money on hair tools, but we've seen the light now and this is definitely worth the money, especially if you're one who loves a good blow out. It's sleek, light weight design makes it easy to hold for long periods of time, although you won't need to since this dryer can dry thick, long hair out in about 15 mins. This one has the customizable speeds and heat settings as well, the cool shot as well but this one requires that you hold the button down for cold air. It also comes with styling clips to help section your hair.

Another notable perk is that this dryer isn't obnoxiously loud, you can play some music in the morning (like we tend to do) and still be able to hear what's going on. While Drybar's is yellow and bold, T3's is sleek and white and just looks like a beautiful tool you want to keep on your bathroom counter. This is a great improvement over their last Featherweight hair dryer and it has me wanting to know what T3 has up their sleeves for the future.
