October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and many companies show their support by donating proceeds from special edition “pink” products towards breast cancer research. Even though October is almost over, there’s still time for some pink power. Here’s a few of our favorite “pink” beauty buys for 2010.
I have a weakness for Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks, and am really liking the specially created Pink Ribbon Shimmer Brick. Bobbi’s offering free shipping on this product all month long.
Estee Lauder is a pioneer for breast cancer research — Eveyln Lauder founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in 1993 — and each year they release beautiful products. This year, we especially love the Elizabeth Hurley Lip Design collection. In total, Estee Lauder will donate $500,000 towards breast cancer research this year.
China Glaze fights the good fight with the Fight Like A Woman collection. It includes 3 shades: Encouragement (sheer baby pink), Endurance (raspberry shimmer seen above) and Empowerment (cotton candy pink seen above). They benefit the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
Since this month is all about “the girls”, check out Boob Tube from Mama Mio to help shape up skin from the neck down. Mama Mio is donating $1 for every purchase of Boob Tube and Boob Tube with Magic Shimmer to Look Good…Feel Better.
Antica Farmacista is donating 100% of the profits from the sale of their Peonia, Gardenia & Rosa fragrance to the Cancer Support Community. Each Home Ambiance in 250ml retails for $62.
Jane Iredale’s Sugar and Butter Lip Exfoliator is new and improved and just in time too. Her new Phoenix now comes with tinted pink lip plumper and for every one sold, Jane Iredale will donate $2 to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
Shiseido Luminizing Lip Gloss in Pop Life benefits CEW’s Cancer and Careers and for each tube sold, Shiseido will donate $5 to the organization. Also, in honor of the partnership, all Shiseido makeup counters will feature an exclusive look created by Dick Page, Artistic Director for Shiseido Makeup.
