Splurge vs. Steal: Dior Creme Abricot & Sally Hansen Cuticle Massage

My cuticles are a constant source of annoyance. I really have to be diligent about cuticle care or my hands end up looking rough and ragged. One easy way to keep cuticles soft is to use a cuticle cream. I’m partial to Dior’s Crème Abricot Fortifying Cream For Nails. It’s got a light apricot smell and it really works wonders on hangnails. I slather this around my nail bed at night and it works its magic by morning. It’s definitely a splurge though at $23.

A more wallet-friendly alternative at $5 is Sally Hansen’s Cuticle Massage Cream. It also contains apricot oil and does a decent job at conditioning cuticles. The formula isn’t as luxe and for me it takes longer to absorb, but it is a worthy steal.

How do you take care of your cuticles – any miracle creams to share? Let us know!

  1. Awesome comparison! I don’t like the smell of Diors Cream for nails, thats why i didn’t get it!

  2. I do sometimes believe in “you get what you pay for” but not always.
Here would definitely be the case. Sally Hansen’s line always has treated me well. Except for a couple products their items always delivers. I really miss my bottle of “as hard as wraps” and cannot find it anywhere locally any more.

I LOVE IT Cosmetics NAIL LOVE! The formula absorbs right away and leaves my ragged hangnails at bay. Seriously, if I forget to use it for a few days I notice my cuticles start to peel and I start to pick at them. You should try it… it’s awesome!
