Signature Smoldering Eyes

by Christina, Filed under: Cosmetics, Josie Maran Cosmetics, Stila

If I had to pin down my signature makeup look, it’d be pink smokey eyes.  The look is very easy to do, extremely wearable, and most importantly, its pretty!  All you need to achieve this look are 3 eye shadow shades that you probably already have in your makeup bag – a chocolatey brown, a shimmering pink and a pearly highlighter.  I use Stila’s Eye Shadow Trio in Bronze Glow.

My Smoldering Eyes

With a stiff brush, tap brown shadow onto lids, blending slightly upward.  Use a fluffy brush, blend the shimmering pink into the crease.  Follow with pearly highlighter along brow bones.  Next, line the entire eye with a creamy brown shadow, being sure to get the inside of the lower lids.  I like to use Josie Maran’s brown eye liner pencil.  It is perfect for creating this look since its texture is creamy and easily blended.  Better yet, since the formula is organic and gentle, I can apply to my inner lids without risk of irritation to my sensitive contact-bearing eyes.  Using a stiff smudge brush dipped in brown shadow, blend the liner all around the eye.  Follow with a couple of coats of mascara to achieve the ultimate smudgy, sexy look.
