My friend Michelle from All Lacquered Up is on fire, I tell you. In July she revealed her Rescue Beauty Lounge collaboration named Mismas. This gorgeous deep purple creme shade was even featured in Allure! Then later she revealed swatches for her collaboration with Barielle for the Shades by Barielle All Lacquered collection. Her shade U Concrete Me featured in US Weekly last week. She’s inspired me to add “have shade named after you” to my list of things to do.
This is a gorgeous collection of nail color. Michelle worked with celebrity manicurist Elle to release collection of runway inspired shades. There is something for everyone here from cremes, chunky glitters to pearl shimmers. I’m not the nail color expert Michelle is but when I apply these colors, I truly see a difference in comparison to the formulas from the shades I normally turn to. The colors are all rich and go on smoothly. Take a closer look at some of the shades I tried:
Now you have to excuse my photography skills here, I blame this on the camera. And you have to excuse the application as well, I was applying color after color and clean up wasn’t the priority at the time. How do nail bloggers do this all the time?
Being a sucker for reds, Pin Up was on my must-try list. It’s a beautiful tomato red polish with a gold shimmer. You can never go wrong with a red gold shimmer shade.
This here is Glammed Out Garnet, it’s my absolutely favorite shade of the bunch… again, being a sucker for reds. It’s a deep ruby red with a ruby sparkle. My shot here doesn’t capture how deep it is but hopefully the bottle behind my thumb makes it clear.
Normally I would not be the purple/mauve type but Michelle’s Mismas has me more interested in tone, especially cremes. Get Mauve-Ing is the perfect muted mauve, is it not?
Again, we have another creme, this time in a gray named U Concrete Me. This shade is what I hoped MAC’s Hello Kitty On the Prowl would be, it’s not streaky at all. It is a little deeper than the Hello Kitty shade but not as blue as this image shows it to be.
Finally we have Blackened Bleu, a black polish with sapphire sparkle. Isn’t it gorgeous? The formula is a little sheer so don’t be alarmed if you apply 1 coat and doesn’t look the way you expected, it takes 2 to make a thing go right.
You can find the entire collection online at Barielle. Check out these images from the collaborator herself here and here. And PS, right now is a good time to buy as Barielle is running a buy2 get 1 free sale. What shade are going in your shopping cart? I’m going to add Polished Princess, Falling Star and Out-Grey-Geous to my list.
