Revlon + Product Girl Tackle the Red Lip

We’re back at you with another Revlon video! This one is near and dear to us because it covers a very important subject: RED LIPSTICK! Honestly, I credit Carla for my deep appreciation of red lipstick. She has been singing its praises for years, and knows every stain/gloss/crayon/stick there is to know and its texture/undertones/attributes.  For reals. She’s like the red lip dictionary. I’m pretty smitten because I’ve found a red lipstick that I LOVE. The name is very fitting: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Love That Red. And how I do, truly.

I walk you through the red lip look in the video, using the following Revlon products:

  • Revlon PhotoReady™ Perfecting Primer
  • Revlon ColorStay™ Lipliner in Red
  • Revlon Super Lustrous™ Lipstick in Love that Red
  • Revlon ColorStay™ Longwear Nail Enamel in Bold Sangria

There’s an ease with the rest of your makeup when wearing a red lipstick. You almost need nothing else on your face. And we speak from experience, red lips give you confidence like nothing else can. It brings out feelings of power and control. So ladies, own your red lips!

Also, we have a giveaway for you! We’re giving away ten (10) of the ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel in Bold Sangria. It’s a new formula to the Revlon brand that is supposed to mimic the wear of a gel polish. It’s super shiny and really long-lasting. Leave us a comment here telling us your favorite way to rock a red lip (and feel free to confess you fear of red lipstick, too!) We want to know where you stand. We’ll pick our winners end of day on Thursday, April 26.

  1. I must confess, I’ve been afraid to rock the red lip .. but your video has me a little more confident that I might be able to pull it off!

  2. I also fear the red lip. I have fair skin and never thought it would look good on me. I tend to stick with pink colored glosses but think I will step out of my comfort zone and give it a try.

  3. I love a red lip! It’s bold and totally sexy. AND I don’t have to worry about eyeshadow! just a brush of highlighter under my brows and I’m good to go

  4. I love love love red lips but I always feel like the ones I grab are too orangy or yellowy for me skin tone. And the fact I buy most of my makeup at the drugstore makes it hard to swatch colors. And wasting $7.00 on a lipstick over and over can be frustrating!! But I want to be able to rock this trend so hard!!! Maybe I need to brave the makeup consultant at Sephora to see which colors work best for me then go from there.

  5. Gwen Stefani is my favorite woman to rock red lips ! I have a fear as well because lipstick always tends to smear on me, but I do like wearing it for a night out once in a while. I pair it with a neutral eyeshadow and winged eyeliner.

  6. i’d say that i’m scared to go all in with red, although i’ve used sheer red lipglosses and the like. would love to win and try it out! shared and liked on FB.

  7. Love a red lip from Chanel Gabrielle, La Fascinate and Paris to Nars Heat Wave, Cruella,Red Square to MAC Lady Danger, Cockney,Russian Red, Port Red – Orange based/Blue based – I love them all – and I won’t even talk about the red glosses – too many.

  8. I’ve never worn red lipstick but I’ve been experimenting with brighter shades of lip gloss. I also love red nail polish. A shade by Sephora OPI is my fave.

  9. Years ago I wore a mid-cherry/burgundy color from Revlon that has been long discontinued. I have not gone to reds since but for the last two winters I have had a real hankering to wear a red again. I am just afraid I will not pick the right color for me now. I am older than the last time I wore red so my lips are not as full as they used to be and because of those two reasons I have a real fear that I will look like that crazy lady down the block (we all have them) that still wears the one red that she has been wearing since the beginning of time. And I just don’t look good in red clothing except for the burgundy or cherry reds. I think I need to go to a good cosmetics counter that will lead me in the right direction.

  10. I stopped wearing red lipstick several years back, thinking it was becoming too severe of a look for my ‘getting-older’ face but I still have my tube of Loreal Drumbeat Red in my makeup drawer. I think it’s a great look on the right face 🙂
