Revlon + Product Girl on Metallic Eyes for Holiday

Tis the season for really festive makeup. While we love metallic eyes and red lips all year round, the look definitely has more impact in December. It really is the best time of the year. This month, we teamed with Revlon to showcase our holiday best. The star of this metallic eyes show is Revlon Luxurious Color™ Diamond Lust™ Eye Shadow in Plum Galaxy. Its glam-inducing sidekick is Revlon Super Lustrous™ Lipstick in Red Lacquer. And I paired it with gold sequins. It might be fair to say this is my favorite Revlon video (and this is our 12th this year!)

I have become quite the fan of the Diamond Lust Eye Shadows. They’re sparkly, yes, but actually pretty pigmented. A wet brush could work well for application, but I’ve found my fingers press it on really well. And this comes from the girl that hardly ever uses her fingers to apply any eye makeup. I think perhaps I should use them more given my successful go with the Diamond Lust.

This Revlon look is actually our official last of 2012, so to celebrate, we’re giving away ten Diamond Lust Eye Shadows. Leave a comment by Wednesday, December 12, telling us what makeup look you will be wearing this holiday season. Tips and tricks always a welcome share. We’ll pick 10 random winners from there.

Good luck!

  1. I love sparkle on a regular basis 😉 one of my favorite sparkles is Urban Decay’s Stardust shadow in Retrograde. And then a few Sweet Libertine mineral colors are also a great way to add a little sparkle over top of a look. My newest find I’ll be wearing a lot over the holidays is my first gel eyeliner – oh boy, I can get it close to the lashes and really enhance any look without being too overkill.

  2. Definitely going for that Marilyn Monroe looks. Neutral, Golds, Frosty white with red, burgundy or plum lips.

  3. I love to experiment with eye shadows. I’m recently infatuated with Tarte’s Pebble Beach that has a shimmery sparkle to it! Also love Pixie’s eyeliner! Mascara and a nice plum lipstick to top it off!

    1. Oh, P.S:

For the winter, I like a purple eyeshadow with a bright purple eyeliner and black mascara paired with a sheer tinted plum chapstick.

  4. I have my LAST Revlon shadow duo that was discontinued and just today I went hunting (again) for something similar as I have no more in my stash. The closest thing I found was Bobbi Brown so I think I may be wearing them as I have been very conservative with my LAST Revlon duo shadow. But I have not seen these new ones from Revlon yet so there may be a last minute entry in the holiday makeup choice if I find them soon enough!

  5. I’ve been getting into glittery eye looks recently, especially glitter liners. I’m a little too intimidated to incorporate them into everyday looks, but for the holiday season, they’re perfect!
