Ready for your annual dose of MAC Mineralize? MAC Heavenly Creature has arrived. As sure as the change of seasons are, MAC fans know that come July, a new crop of mineral products are released. And usually a surprise or two, as well. This year, the surprise is definitely the re-launch of MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. Perhaps the allure has worn off for me, but I can’t deal with a limited edition exfoliator. My skin needs consistency. But, the thrill of new Mineralize goodies is always a welcome treat.
Heavenly Creature includes 35 products in total – including nine Mineralize Eyeshadows, five Cremesheen Glasses, four Mineralize Blushes and four Mineralize Skinfinishes. For me, even a few must-haves in the bunch.
Namely, Supernova Mineralize Blush and Earthshine Mineralize Skinfinish. These are both beyond gorgeous, and unique as far as MAC Mineralize goes. Earthshine is a tarnished bronze, a clear shift from all of the light, shimmery MSF’s I tend to gravitate towards. I love how the burgundy and gold mix together and create a metallic bronze. The lightest touch is all you need. You’ll know immediately if you’ve gone too far with Earthshine.
As for Supernova, it is a bright magenta gold. It’s so pretty! And bright – like WOAH bright. Don’t use a dense brush with this one, or well, you’ll know. I wasn’t thinking about used my MAC 168 angled brush and WOAH bright. There is a reason that MAC releases its duo-fibre brushes with these collections.
Also worth noting are the Cremesheen Glasses. This formula is such a nice change from that of MAC Lipglass, and Heavenly Creature has some beautiful roses and pinks. Take a look at Strictly Plutonic (love the name!) and Galaxy Rose if you are interested in snagging a Heavenly Creature Cremesheen.
What are your thoughts on this collection? Are you MAC Mineralize-d out? Or are you stockpiling tubes of Volcanic Ash? I’m sure there are some of you that fall, ironically, in both camps! Let’s chat about it.
