Emanuel Ungaro for MAC Cosmetics

When I recently┬ávisited my local MAC counter, I was a little overwhelmed with everything I saw. There are so many collections out right now worth checking out and so little time or money to get them all! This weekend we’re going to be looking at all of current releases and sharing our picks for must haves from each release.

First up is the Emanuel Ungaro collection. MAC has teamed up with Emanuel Ungaro’s Esteban Cortazar to create a special limited edition collection, much like MAC’s special collections in years past like Alexander McQueen and┬áZandra Rhodes. This collection has soft hues and is very dreamy and romantic… much like the City of Lights the line hails from. Here’s what’s in the collection:

Pure Rose – pastel pink with white pearl.
Freckletone – neutral yellow-toned beige.

Pastel Emotion – pastel pink with white pearl.

See-thru Lip Colour
Not So Shy! – jewel-tone berry stain.

Eye Shadow
Soft Flower – clean, mid-tone coral.
Lilac Touch – dirty mid-tone violet
Mineral – deep cool brown.
Phloof! – frosted off-white.

Cream Colour Base
Crushed Bougainvillea – jewel-tone berry stain.
Fresh Morning – soft muted pastel pink.

Beauty Powder
Flower Mist Dew – clean brightening pink.

Brow Set
Mink – dirty brown.

Obviously, this girl picked up everything that seemed like a stain. I was lucky enough to receive a few samples but I still picked up a few things I was eyeing. Even though they crease when I wear them on my eyes, I still love Cream Colour Bases for highlighting and blush. For this reason, I had to have both of them. The Crushed Bougainvillea (love the name!) is a stain so you could even wear it on your lips.

Have you checked out the Emanuel Ungaro collection? What did you like or pick up?

  1. I loved this collection as well. It’s so eponymous of his various collections both Esteban’s own and his work for Emanuel. My favorite are definitely the lipsticks especially the pure rose.
