Lisa Hoffman Madagascar Orchid Variations

I’ve mentioned that I love perfume oils, haven’t I? If not, I’m telling you now, I absolutely love perfume oils. :) They are rich and their scents last forever on the skin. That’s what it’s really all about with me. So being a perfume oil addict, this Lisa Hoffman Madagascar Orchid Variations set had me at hello.

The idea with Lisa Hoffman’s different Variations sets is that you have a fragrance hat takes you through your entire day and each fragrance has 4 variations meant to be worn in the morning, daytime, evening and at bedtime. You may be wondering “who wears perfume to bed?”, well I do. It puts me at ease and honestly, makes me feel a little glamorous. Why hasn’t anyone ever done this before? This is a genius idea, plus the presentation is fantastic. The four vial are stored in the leather wallet seen here.

Madagascar Orchid is a beautiful, powdery fragrance. I happen to have a little obsession with Nivea’s body lotion and always wished I could find a perfume that smells like the lotion. I think Lisa Hoffman’s Madagascar Orchid is as close as I’m going to get to it and I couldn’t be happier about it. Since this is the scent featured in Lisa Hoffman’s bath and body line, I can layer myself from head to toe with it.

The notes in this white floral are jasmine, ylang ylang, dew, mimosa and pink peony. The morning time variation is a light version of the fragrance, one that starts your day off but isn’t overwhelming. Then the daytime variation steps it up a notch and the notes become richer to carry you through the rest of your day. For evening wear, the evening variation takes the scent in a different direction with a touch of spice for sensuality. I’m assuming it’s amber (my nose is not so good at detecting notes yet) that is in this variation and when you combine it with the floral powdery-ness of the previous 2 variations, it creates an amazingly sexy scent. Finally the bedtime variation brings everything back down to its light powdery origins to ease you into sleep. I don’t know about you but I like a little perfume before bed. :)

From start to finish, Lisa Hoffman’s Variations are fragrances you just have to try. The presentation, the delivery and the scents themselves are all fabulous. There are 4 other scents in the Variations series and we’ll be exploring them in the weeks to come.

I LOVE this fragrance SO much! Only thing is I find it isn’t noticeable at all once you’ve out it on. I am pretty sure know one else would smell you unless their nose was on your neck. I also bought her skincare line by reading (too few reviews) and I’m pretty disappointed in the $ spent. The cleansers leave little to be desired and I am not sure I wasn’t duped:(

Hi Hannah. I’m sorry to hear that! I didn’t have that experience at all. When I wear it, I can still smell the perfume on my clothes around my neck the next day. As for the skincare, I’ve only tried 1 item, the Vitamin A & C Serum, and I really love it. I have to check it out now since you mentioned it. I do know that her prices have come down a bit recently.
