Vote for Me! Lips to Love Make Up For Ever Contest

Last week I was asked to participate in Make Up For Ever’s Lips to Love contest to celebrate the arrival of their new Shade Finder Tool on Sephora and on Facebook for their Rouge Artist lipsticks. The challenge was to create an artistic look using the lipstick, then Make Up For Ever’s Facebook fans would vote on the best look. I am honored to be asked to be one of lucky 8 ladies who are participating in this challenge.

The winner of the challenge gets a fun prize, and so do their readers! The winner gets a Make Up For Ever traincase filled with their favorite products plus, we get to giveaway the set to 10 of our readers. The Rouge Artist lipsticks would definitely be in my traincase if I won. :) Keep reading to see the look I created!

I decided to try and create an ombre nude lip, I thought it was a fantastic idea but executing it and photographing it? I definitely struggled with it! I’m not a makeup artist by any means but I did have some fun with this and I used some new lighting techniques though so at least I learned some new. Can you see what I was going for?

I decided to use shades Rouge Artist shades 22, 23, 24 and 25 with a satin finish. I took the darkest shade 25 and put it in the corners, worked my way in on both sides with 24 and then 23 then finished with nude beige 22 in the middle. I started over so many times during my attempt to create a look I thought was good and this is what won. What do you think? It is a little hard to see but trust me, in person it was gorgeous.

Please do me a huge favor and vote for me. I would love the opportunity to give away 10 traincases filled with Make Up For Ever to you all. Voting ends at 5pm EST next Thursday the 16th!
