Coveting: Le Metier de Beaute Splendid Frost Kaleidoscope

After 2 weeks of being stuck at home with a sprained ankle, I was just itching to get out and check out my favorite beauty spots and this weekend I finally had a chance to do that. I can admit that I was not a good girl by any means, I dropped the plastic a little too easily at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus at the Chanel, Trish McEvoy and Le Metier de Beaute counters… not to mention the nail polish I hauled.

Had I stopped by Neiman’s and the Le Metier de Beaute counter first instead of the other way around, things would have gone down differently. When I first set eyes on this kaleidoscope at the counter, I immediately became obsessed with it and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head since!

This Splendid Frost Kaleidoscope is just beautiful. The first shade in the set grabbed my attention and it just kept getting better with each one I swatched. The second shade is this gorgeous, rich metallic blue that would make an amazing smokey blue eye. The third shade is a matte grey, the kind of shade I love to use in the crease. Then the fourth and final shade reminds me a lot of NARS Orgasm, which can be used as peach shimmery goodness on the eyes or on cheeks if you’d like. Le Metier artist Mikey Castillo says they are great to layer together for a sultry smokey eye.

So why didn’t I get it? I’m using this as a reward. If I can accomplish a goal of mine by 2/25, this baby will be mine. Plus it will be a good time to pick it up at that time because Neiman’s will be having their beauty event and I’m looking forward to the gift as well. How about you? What do you think? Have I inspired a lemming?

  1. Wow, those shades are gorgeous, I’m loving the blue. Good luck with your goal because you HAVE to make this yours. I’m glad your ankle is doing better, I know how hard it is to be sidelined with a sprained ankle especially if you’re as awful with crutches as I am. I had to crawl around the house.

  2. wow the swatches look so much better than in the pots!!! I love it! It would be mine if there was a lip gloss in it as well! :)

    1. Hey Robin! The swatches were taken with my iPhone so they are not 100% accurate (I wish they were) but honestly, the colors are beautiful!

  3. Ok, that’s it. Time for a shopping trip to Seattle me thinks! There is no LMDB up here in Canada. :( I keep hearing great things about the line.
