Kate Somerville Refinery29 Winter Essentials Kit + Giveaway

Keeping skin looking merry and bright all winter long really comes down to three simple principles: gentle cleansing, eliminating dead skin cells and constant hydration. And wouldn’t you know it; Kate Somerville has teamed with Refinery29 on a special Winter Essentials Kit that includes three of Kate’s miracle-workers:

  • Gentle Daily Wash (4 oz.): a gentle, sulfate-free gel that easily removes makeup and pore-clogging debris.
  • Clinic-To-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads (16 pads): a convenient peel that rejuvenates your complexion and reduces the appearance of fine lines and acne scars. One of Kate’s bestsellers!
  • Nourish Daily Moisturizer (.5 fluid oz. travel size): a sophisticated moisturizer with anti-aging extracts that helps increase elasticity and minimizes the look of wrinkles.

The best part? The price. If your reserve the Winter Essentials Kit on Refinery29 by December 24, you can snag it for $69 (a $100 value). 1. I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts so I struggle with trying to strike a balance between over cleansing and drying out my skin or using too any products and making my breakouts worse.

  2. Keeping my skin hydrated!! Especially around the eyes and on my forehead. Its SO important to me. Would love to give this kit a try! Thanks for this! =)

My biggest struggle are my lips!!! Cant keep them moist 🙁
    Thanks for the giveaway!!!

  4. My skin gets so dry it’s itchy and I can’t reach my back and other spots and feel like I’m squirming all day long! Is there a spray lotion out there?!?!?!

  5. Dry, “tight” feeling hands! Aquaphor can only do so much!!! and a runny, raw nose 🙁

Thanks for a great giveaway! 🙂

  6. My problem is dry flaky red skin! It’s beyond sensitive. I discovered your blog last week (im always the last one to know) and ive been having so much fun reading it! Love Whats in her bag, love manicure mondays, love all the product reviews, love it all. Its my new obsession!

  7. My biggest winter skincare trouble is dry skin around my mouth. I’m constantly slathering Shea butter on my lips to keep them from cracking.

  8. My skin becomes red, dry and flaky in winter! I also struggle with broken capillaries & fine lines on my forehead!

  9. my struggle is my skin becomes red and dry and if moisturizer is applied it becomes oily and my skin breakouts

  10. My biggest struggle with winter skincare has always been extremely dry skin. I must follow a strict regime of exfoliating, using hydrating masks and wonderfully rich moisturizers in order to keep my skin soft and well hydrated. I’ve had difficulties finding a particular brand that makes products that are all so wonderful and specifically address my needs. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Kate Sommervilles products and would love to try them to see if they would work well for my skin. What I love about this kit is that you aren’t investing in full size products but you get enough product in each container to determine whether they work for you. As such, then you can go and invest in the full size packages once you know you’ll continue to use the brand. I also love lits like this because they’re easily portable and travel friendly.

Thank you for the opportunity to possibly win this very special giveaway. Good luck to all and happy holidays.

  12. It seems impossible during the winter to keep skin healthy. The winter air is very dry, and there is very little humidity and it causes the loss of humidity from my skin, it becomes very dry.. Dry and itchy..

  13. My biggest challenge is balancing my skin. Some areas of my face get dry and flaky….but, my t-zone remains oily.

  14. When the heat goes on, my skin becomes super sensitive. It a constant struggle to tone down the redness.

  15. My skin can’t decide what it wants to do in the winter. It wants to be dry one minute and then breakout the next. If i use a more combination skin cleanser it will dry out and if i exfoliate to much it breaks out on my cheeks. Then if i use a more mild cleanser it also wants to breakout.

  16. in the winter, my skin is always dehydrated but always oily so it’s kind of hard to use products! so i only use hydrating products instead of moisturizing. (water vs. oil) so far, this has been working for me!

  17. What a great giveaway and in perfect time for the Holidays. The winter is a nightmare for my skin. During the winter my skin becomes very dry and flakey and I haven’t found a product that doesn’t leave me skin oily. I am dying to give this kit a go. I would be the happiest chick in town if I won. Have a great holiday!

  18. ugh. winter skin. how about the dry, red, flakey patches. no amount of moisture or exfoliation seems to matter during these months. can i say ugh again?

  19. The one thing that I struggle with the most during the winter is that my T-Zone after maybe an hour or 2 gets super oily but around my mouth, the sides of my nose, and some places on the bottoms of my cheeks have dry patches. So Im stuck having to buy multiple products and using them all at the same time just so that when I wear makeup it doesnt look crazy!

  20. Actually, I’m dealing with a triple challenge, I just came off the pill, so my skin is having a mad party breaking out, but at the same time, the cold weather and wind is making my skin more dry, on top of that, my skin is super sensitive as well and prone to redness, so now it’s almost become a full day job keeping my skin in check and catering to all its different needs! Would love to see whether Kate Somerville could help though, have heard such good things about her products! *fingers crossed*

  21. My worst winter skin problem is a lovely combination of hormonal breakouts mixed with itchy dry patches on the sides of my face….ugggg!!!
