Get the Perfect Glow with Jouer Cosmetics Luminizing Moisture Tint

A few weeks ago, I went to New York with my husband for a little mini-vacation. It was a great time. We went to some delicious restaurants, caught a show and did some shopping. And because I have a very tolerant husband, we visited many beauty counters.

Here I am in front of the mothership — Bergdorf Goodman! That was one amazing beauty floor, and I’d take up permanent residence there if I could. We also went to Henri Bendel’s, where I was most excited to check out  Jouer Cosmetics live and in-person. Every since I tried Jouer’s Instant Chic collection, I have been hooked on getting to know the brand.

Immediately, my eyes locked with the Luminizing Moisture Tint. I knew instantly that I needed to try it, but I made sure to grill Neil, a make-up artist for Jouer, on what set this product apart from the many tinted moisturizers on the market. He explained that it gives you a healthy glow (literally – it’s full of antioxidants) and wipes away imperfections. I was intrigued, but I noticed that when I swatched it on my hand it appeared a little shimmery. He convinced me that it didn’t translate that way on the face, and he was right.

I picked up a tube in Golden and have been loving it ever since. It really is an eraser for imperfections and it’s very moisturizing (but not in an oil-inducing way!) I set it with a translucent powder just as I do all liquids, but I don’t think it’s necessary (at least it wouldn’t be if the humidity levels weren’t 90 percent + everyday). If I were comparing this, I’d say it’s a much better version of Laura Mercier’s Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer. There’s no tin-man effect here. Just a perfect glow.

  1. I agree with you 100% about Jouer vs. laura mercier illuminating tinted moisturizer: I also got the “tin man” effect from LM’s but not at all from Jouer’s. Plus, I cashed in on the special O magazine deal. I am VERY happy with it.
