It doesn’t vibrate but this mascara has made a big splash in the beauty world. I’m sure a lot of you have seen this mascara and wondered how it works. I wondered too. :)
It’s obvious that Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes Mascara has something no other mascara has, a very unique and interesting applicator. While this applicator is great to give parts of your lashes more attention than others, it can also be a bit messy at first. I usually skip my lower lashes so I don’t have raccoon eyes in the afternoon and with this mascara, I got it all over the lower outer corner of my lashes. It took some time to get use to the applicator and learn how to use it without affecting the lower lashes but once I got that down, the lashes that I did focus on though looked really, really good. The precision this mascara gives after you’ve gotten use to it is great.
The one aspect of Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes Mascara that gives me a little bit of pause is how easily it smudges. I’m one of those gals that rubs her eyes a lot without even realizing it. I’ve gotten much better about it when I wear mascara but it still happens every now and again. One afternoon, I caught myself after I had rubbed one of my eyes and I immediately pulled out my mirror to see what the damage was. I was really surprised when I found my lid had little lash marks all over it. Since when does it take hours for mascara to dry? This made it a tad unpractical for me to use regularly. Maybe the trick is to seal the lashes with something waterproof afterwards.
While my feelings are a bit mixed on this mascara but so far I can really appreciate the results I can achieve with it. I’ll definitely be spending more time with it in the future… once I stop rubbing my eyes so much.
