Estee Lauder Private Collection Amber Ylang Ylang Perfume

It’s that time of year when we start bringing out our warmer scents, the ones that warm you up the instant you put them on. A fabulous new scent for this season is Estee Lauder’s Private Collection Amber Ylang Ylang. If you like amber, give this perfume a try next time you’re near an Estee Lauder counter.

Amber Ylang Ylang is the second perfume in Aerin Lauder’s Private Collection. The first is this summer’s Tuberose Gardenia. This perfume is completely opposite, it’s very rich, warm and alluring where Tuberose Gardenia is sharply floral. It has top notes of ylang, bergamot and geranium, middle notes of Bulgarian rose, cinnamon Ceylon and incense then bottom notes of vanilla bean, sandalwood and of course amber.

The amber in this perfume is strong and rich, it seems almost powdery warm to me. The incense is more noticeable in the dry down and we smelled a bit of the rose on me but my friend Lea (the expert nose between the 2 of us) couldn’t smell it on herself. This perfume also has good sillage, at the end of the night I can still smell the scent on my body and clothes. My co-worker kept commenting on it when she was around me.

This perfume an instant love, I received a small sample of Estee Lauder’s Private Collection Amber Ylang Ylang and I am already treating this sample like precious gold. Let’s hope someone in my family is reading this and thinks a full bottle would make a great gift!
