Illumination Bling

Since I’m on an Estee Lauder high, I might as well post about this product as well. I usually like to space these things out and mix it up a bit but what the hell. I have a very big soft spot for MAC’s Mineralize Skin Finishes so when I saw Estee Lauder’s Platinum Illuminator, I knew immediately that I wanted to try it.

Estee_platinum_illuminator This product is very different from the Azuree collection’s Face Highlighter. That product is a little tricky to work with because it’s very easy to put on too much product in one swoop and this product is the exact opposite… it takes some effort to over do an application. The trick is to use the right brush, I prefer to use a brush like this one. The product really grabs on the synthetic fibers in the brush and helps create a gorgeous glow. It’s not too dark and not too light, the color is just right and this can work on any skin tone. Since this product is also limited edition, I learned that you don’t want to take a powder or blush brush and work it over the surface, that just wastes product. My fingers are crossed that this product will one day be a permanent product.
