I am addicted to towelettes, it’s a weird addiction, I know. Like lip stains, I have to try the towelettes in whatever line I encounter them in. When I saw these Comodynes Make-Up Remover Towelettes for Combination and Oily Skin at Whole Foods, the addiction kicked in.
Being lured in by the hype I’ve heard about this line over the years, it was nice to learn that Comodynes Make-Up Remover Towelettes for Combination and Oily Skin are made from natural fibers, are alcohol free and hypoallergenic… it was also nice to see them in my area! I often complain about the Seattle area not getting all the interesting brands that other cities get. I guess we’re coming up in the world They also contain Burdock, which has been known to treat skin problems such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis.
As for usage, I was surprised at how strongly scented these towelettes are, they smell a lot like a bar of Dove soap. I do not take issue with scents in products but for those gals who prefer their towelettes unscented, move on… this is not for you. Also, since they claim to be remove makeup on the face and eyes, I expected they would perform better than they did. Most of my skin was clean but the product on my eyes was mostly in tact and that was disappointing. Leaving some traces behind is to be expected but not even making a dent in removing my mascara is not good.
In the end, Comodynes Make-Up Remover Towelettes for Combination and Oily Skin didn’t do a whole lot for me. They left my skin feeling tight. For me, they make a better hand wipe than something I’d use to remove makeup and clean my face with which is why you’ll now find them in my bag. Boots no. 7 Quick Thinking 4-in-1 Wipes does a much better job and you get more product for about the same price.
