CLEAN is known for its fresh- and clean-smelling perfumes and body products. The brand’s identity is centered around a universal “fresh out of the shower scent” and pure ingredients. But is there such a thing as too fresh and too clean?
I recently put CLEAN’s four-piece starter set to the test. The kit includes deluxe sizes of:
- CLEAN Bath & Shower Gel (shower fresh scent)
- CLEAN Body Lotion (shower fresh scent)
- Fresh Body Veil
- CLEAN Dry Hair Shampoo
Each product also contains Cotton Vantage technology — which blends cotton seeds, cotton extracts and cotton proteins to absorb excess oil. In theory, these products should keep you feeling (and smelling) squeaky clean but I find that the smell is just too clean. Even just using the shower gel with an unscented body lotion, I was still able to smell the CLEAN Shower Fresh scent on myself all day. I couldn’t really test each product concurrently because it was too overpowering.
CLEAN has a variety of scents, but sadly, these two are not for me. Any CLEAN fans reading? Let us know your thoughts and recommendations to achieving the just fresh and just clean enough “clean” smell?
