We’re spending the weekend with Chanel! Last night I mentioned how much I want Chanel’s Paris New York palette and for the rest of the weekend we’ll be taking a look at what’s new in makeup from the house of Chanel. Today we’re taking a look at the new Holiday collection coming up in November…let’s start the countdown now, I’m dying to get my hands on some of this.
This Chanel Holiday collection was inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s fascination with the brilliant plumage of exotic birds. Their lush beauty is captured in an enchanting holiday collection with shades of flamingo pink and peacock blue – accented with shimmering tones of green-gold, copper and teal.
This limited edition Shimmering Tweed Highlighter weaves gold, bronze and copper tones together to give skin a natural, luminous glow. I have always wondered about the Chanel Blush Tweed Duos and held off because I’d rather throw my money towards a different type of product than a blush. Now Chanel is releasing this highlighter and I don’t think I can hold out much longer. Highlighters hold a special place in my heart. Want to see how it looks on skin? Temptalia has some great swatches.
For lips, this Holiday collection includes four Aqualumiere Sheer Color Lipshines in Maldives (peach), Galapagos (coral), Greneda (fuchsia) and Tasmania (pink). The collection also includes my favorite Aqualumiere High Shine Sheer Concentrates in Colibiri (pearl), Hirondelle (pink) and Canari (gold). The shades seen here are Hirondelle for the gloss and Maldives for the lipstick. Chanel says this holiday season is all about the sheer, glossy lip. I think Colibiri is going on my shopping list…I just love layering sheer glosses like this over a lip stain.
For eyes, Chanel is introducing their Les Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow in Bird of Paradise and their Le Ligne de Chanel Professional Eyeliner Duo in Celadon-Lame. Unfortunately, I do not have a larger image of the quad to show you (check out Temptalia’s review of the quad) but can say that the palette consisting of aqua, yellow, green-gold and copper shadows. I don’t think we’ve seen shades like this from Chanel for quite a while so this is great to see but what I really am dying to check out is the Le Ligne de Chanel Professional Eyeliner Duo in Celadon-Lame. Don’t the shades look lovely? You can’t go wrong with a shimmering dark green eyeliner.
Finally, for nails Chanel is introducing Le Vernis Nail Colour in Trapeze, a silver-beige. This is the only product from the collection I’ve seen so far and it’s a gorgeous shade. I typically do not wear light shades on my nails but I can handle a shade like this with some shimmer in it. If you can’t wait until November, you can find Trapeze on counters now because it’s part of the Chanel Exclusive Nail Trio that features Allegoria (lush pink nude) and Tulipe Noir (rich pearlized plum black) in a travel case.
So there you have it. Anything here peak your interest? I’m adding the highlighter, Colibri gloss, eyeliner duo and the nail polish to my list. What’s going on yours? Check back later today and tomorrow for more Chanel goodness.
