This week we’re taking a look inside Ning Chao’s makeup bag. Ning is the beauty director for Beautylish, one of my favorite beauty websites. I rarely watch YouTube videos but I do, I start at Beautylish. Ning is a beauty addict just like us. Prior to her role at Beautylish, she was the senior beauty editor at Marie Claire and also spent some time at In Style, Elle, Vogue and Glamour. Ning knows beauty. Laurie and I both had the pleasure of meeting Ning at a dinner party in New York when we were there in May and Ning is a sweetheart. You know how some women are naturally radiant and gorgeous? I think Ning is one of them.

This week we are taking a peek into Jenna Hipp’s makeup bag. Jenna is a celebrity manicurist based in LA, her client roster includes Jessica Alba, Fergie, Eva Longoria, Rachel McAdams and Lea Michelle to name a few. She has an impressive body of work that I’m sure you’ve seen on the cover of Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and In Style. Remember that recent cover of Rolling Stone with Alexander, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer covered in fake blood? Jenna worked that cover too. Can you imagine being on THAT set?

Jenna is a former model and makeup artist but it wasn’t until she moved to LA that she started  making a name for herself as a manicurist under nail great Lisa Postma. In 2007, Jenna got toxic poisoning from all the fumes she was exposed to on a regular basis. Since recovering, Jenna has become an advocate for organic beauty and is now known as the “green” nail manicurist working with lines such as RGB, more on that very soon!

You know Taylor Armstrong from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but did you also know she’s the Chief Creative Director for Beauty Ticket? You know we love Beauty Ticket, right? I have always admired Taylor’s signature smokey eyes and neutral lips, it is a look I don’t think I can pull off that well myself but just looks gorgeous on her. We have been taking a look at the makeup bags of the different regional beauty directors for a little while now and it is only fitting that the last of Nordstrom makeup bag peeks coincides with  the Anniversary Sale that is starting this Friday. Like every Nordstrom gal I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, Laksmi knows her stuff! This week we are taking a look at what is inside Kari Larsen’s makeup bag. Kari is based in San Diego, CA and is the Nordstrom Beauty Director for the Arizona, Nevada and Southern California regions. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting Kari but I bet you have seen her at your local trend show if you live in her regions. Judging by the looks of her makeup bag, Kari is a true beauty product junkie with some excellent products in her bag. Today we are taking a peak inside Joelle Russo’s makeup bag. She is a regional Nordstrom Beauty Director and serves the Northwest, Northern California and Hawaii. She is based in Northern California but I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Joelle a few times now when I’ve attended the local Seattle area trend shows since she handles my area. She is the sweetest woman ever and an inspiration to me personally, she is the epitome of style, beauty and grace… and she has my dream job! We happen to share an addiction to magazines, we both run straight to the beauty section of any magazines and tear out the pages for future reference.

Today we’re taking a peek inside Nordstrom’s National Beauty & Fragrance Director (otherwise known as my dream job) Cheri Botiz’s makeup bag.

Nordstrom is like my home away from home, I go there when I’m happy, I go there when I’m sad. You probably already know this but my idea of a good time is going to Nordstrom and sitting in someone’s chair having my makeup done or playing with makeup. Naturally, I was very excited to be able to show you this peek into Cheri’s makeup bag.

Can you imagine what a day in her life must be like? I daydream about it all the time! She could quite possibly be enjoying some of July’s anniversary sale exclusives as we speak.
