Any time a brand uses social media in a new and exciting way, I am all ears, so to speak. Last year it was NARS and right now that brand is Marc Jacobs.

Big beauty news announced this morning! Katie Holmes is now the official face of Bobbi Brown — the first-ever celeb face for the brand. According to Bobbi, “Katie Holmes epitomizes the modern ‘Bobbi woman’… I think of her as the modern day Ali McGraw, who I have always admired. When I met her, I thought she was a natural fit for my brand, and felt an instant connection with her.”
In turn, Katie says, “Bobbi is exceptional and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is a company that we, as women, all turn to because it is makeup that is very accessible and makes you feel pretty. Makeup is powerful and I am thrilled to be a part of this brand”
GREAT choice, Bobbi! Newly single (/free!) Katie is the perfect choice! Beginning in Spring 2013, look out for print ads, counter displays and editorial features with BB + KH. Also, Bobbi will be the lead makeup artist at the Spring/Summer 2013 Holmes & Yang Fashion Show, the line founded by Katie Holmes and celebrity stylist Jeanne Yang.

Even the constant blast of AC just can’t quite keep it cool enough up there. While we’ve been sweating, here’s what’s been going on in the world of beauty!
