Aren’t these tweezers adorable? You already know Tweezerman makes good tweezers so now you can pick up a pair to support Breast Cancer Awareness. With all the cute little pink bows all over each pair, how could you not?
Tweezerman will donate $1 from each purchase of their BCA Slant Tweezers to the Breast Cancer Research Fund and you can never have too many pairs of tweezers, at least that’s the case in my house… we have at least 4 pairs floating around at any given time!
Don’t forget that Tweezerman has free sharpening as long as the pair of tweezers are in good condition. I’m getting ready to send a few pairs in for sharpening now, I’ll let you know how that goes.
Out of all of the products I’ve seen this month for Breast Cancer Awareness, this eyeshadow duo is the one product that intrigues me the most. I love the story behind it.
Too Faced’s founder Jerrod Blandino is close friends with Sephora’s very own Sr. VP of Marketing Betsy Olum. When Betsy was diagnosed with breast cancer, Jerrod was there for her and during one of their chats, she joked about him bringing back her favorite discontinued shadow named Heiress. Not only did Too Faced bring the shadow back but Jerrod worked with Betsy to develop a coordinating highlighting shade. This is how Too Faced’s Betsy Baby Eyeshadow Duo was born. What’s even better is the amount donated per purchase. Sephora and Too Faced are teaming up to donate a combined $9 for the sale of each duo to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Too Faced’s Betsy Baby Eyeshadow Duo is a beautiful duo and the shades are very wearable. If there’s one BCA product you should have, it’s this one. It’s easy on the wallet and goes on beautifully.
One of my favorite perfumers, Sarah Horowitz Parfums (also formerly known as Creative Scentualization) has gone pink for the month of October.
For every web sale of their Perfect Gardenia Eau de Parfum in the 1.7oz size and every jar of their Perfect Gardenia Body Creme in the 9.2 oz size, they will donate 15% sale price to the Sloan Kettering Foundation for breast cancer research. This means they’ll donate $11.25 for perfume and $6 for each body creme ordered through their website.
This line has some great scents and I have yet to regret something I’ve tried from Sarah Horowitz Parfums.
Want to go pink with your nails?
Nubar has you covered with their Oh Baby Pink Nail Lacquer. For every purchase of this product, the company will donate 10% of the proceeds to City of Hope for breast cancer research. Nubar’s nail lacquers are also formaldehyde, toluene and phthalate free for healthier, beautiful nails.
Looking for a little more pink? You can stay in the pink with their Support the Cure 4 Pack. This set features two pink nail colors in Pink Cami and Je’Taime, a base coat and a top coat. With this set, 10% of the retail price will go towards St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Cancer Treatment Research Foundation and the City of Hope.
I have yet to try Nubar’s line but I figure this is a great time to do that and support an important cause. How about you? Will you be giving this shade a try?
Have you shopped pink in October yet? We haven’t either but that’s ok! We’re still in time and there are plenty of Pink products out there worth picking up to support the cause. We’ll be talking about these products from here on out for the month of October.
Here’s a product to get you off to a good start…
Philosophy’s Shower for the Cure Shower Gel will help get you get in a charitable mood from the moment you step into the shower. Every year Philosophy releases this shower gel and 100% of the net proceeds from this product are donated to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund. This shower gel’s scent is very different from the line’s infamous Amazing Grace or themed shower gels, this is a much stronger floral. Like the line’s other shower gels, this shower gel is also a shampoo and bubble bath.
In addition to the Shower for the Cure shower gel, Philosophy has also released She Colors My Day Bubble Bath and the She Colors My Day Duo.
This release also benefits the Women’s Cancer Research Fund. It was inspired by Philosophy founder Cristina Carlino’s daughter’s artwork and celebrates the special relationship between mother and daughter. The bubble bath features a clean, fresh scent and the duo includes a special keepsake gift and a sketch book. Check out the She Colors My Day website to create your own slideshow and to download the special She Colors My Day single written by Cristina Carlino and Stuart Mathis and performed by Amy Grant.
Check back with us next week as we’ll be giving away one of these very special Philosophy Shower for the Cure Shower Gels!
