Trish McEvoy "The Voyager" Beauty Emergency Card

trish-mcevoy-voyager-beauty-emergency-card

What beauty product are you obsessing over right now? For me, it would have to be Trish McEvoy’s Voyager Beauty Emergency Card, it was my birthday present to myself a few weeks ago. :) The Beauty Emergency Card includes the Instant Pick Me Up All Over Face Color, lip color in Iced Bordeaux and Golden then eye color in White Peach and Deep Aubergine. This also includes a mini planner with four mini brushes.

Isn’t this an adorable set? Just looking at it warms my heart. ;) I love that the shades work for everyday wear, how the card is thinner and smaller than my iPhone and altogether you have an extremely travel friendly set. What’s not to love?

Trish McEvoy "The Must Haves" Collection

I am a fool for anything Trish McEvoy and when I saw this Trish McEvoy “The Must Haves” Collection set yesterday at Nordstrom’s Fall Trend show, all I could think of was how quickly I could get down to the Trish counter to get my hands on this.

This Nordstrom exclusive includes 6 time saving products to help get you looking your best in the blink of an eye. It includes a full size Eye Base Essential in Bright (don’t let the purple scare you away!), a full size High Volume Mascara in Jet Black, a full size Eye Brightener Pencil in Shell, a full size of the new Instant Pick-Me-Up Lips gloss, a deluxe sample of Beauty Booster Serum and a deluxe sample of Eye Base Essential in Bare.

You need to check out the Instant Pick-Me-Up Lips gloss, this the product I was most excited to try out. I love the formula, it is not at all sticky, feels like a rich lip balm and the most interesting aspect of this gloss; it goes on clear but gives your lips a flattering pink tint. Love it!

Nordstrom Beauty Exclusives: Trish McEvoy Simplicity Power of Makeup Planner

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love hearing about all the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Exclusives! It’s my favorite time of year because there are always great sets put together for the event and gifts with purchase are always good. :) This year Nordstrom has done it again and they have some great exclusives that you can pre-order (this would be a smart thing to do because these sell out quick).

This week I’ll be featuring some of the different Nordstrom exclusives available. Today’s exclusive is the Trish McEvoy Simplicity Power of Makeup Planner. I’ve developed a serious Trish McEvoy addiction in the last few months, it’s really getting out to be out of hand but I’m postponing treatment until after this set comes out. :)

New! Trish McEvoy Power of Makeup Page for Spring 2009

I have a confession to make… I am officially in love with Trish McEvoy’s line. I had dabbled in it a little bit but when I ordered her planner with the gorgeous Power of Makeup page from her appearance on QVC back in December, it was the beginning of a real relationship.

I was going to talk about it here, just because this palette is great for everyone but when I went to check on QVC, sadly it was gone. There is good news though, the Power of Makeup page is coming back!  While you can no longer get the planner with the page, Trish McEvoy is releasing this universally flattering page as part of her Spring 2009 collection.

This palette has everything you need for eyes, lips and cheeks in beautiful wearable shades taking all the guess work out of picking coordinating colors, all the work is done for you. The shades in this palette include:

  • Eye Shadow in Shell, White Peach Glaze and Mocha
  • Lava Eye Definer
  • Matte Bronzer Light
  • Natural Blush
  • Nude Shimmer Pressed Powder
  • Simply Glamorous Lip Gloss

I can’t gush about this palette enough, I think it’s the perfect way to get acquainted with Trish McEvoy. If I were to build a page for my planner (something I am now obsessed with) these are the shades I would start out with, they are basic building blocks for a good color wardrobe.

The good news doesn’t stop there… We’ll be covering more of Trish McEvoy’s products this week and the next. We will also be giving away this gorgeous palette so make sure you check back with us next week! Or follow us on Twitter, we’ll let you enter early. :)

Eye Essentials

I’ve always looked at the Trish McEvoy counter and liked what I saw. Her line has these cute little planners that I’d love to carry around instead of everything in my makeup bag. I always look at the price and turn away though. This time, I decided to get my feet wet, so to speak.

Trish McEvoy Base Essentials I started out with Trish McEvoy Base Essential. It’s a cream eyeshadow base that dries to a powder finish. It comes in great base shades but it also comes in a few very shimmery shades. I opted to go with Sand, it makes a great base for me. It doesn’t look ghastly pale, it’s just the right base color for my lids. I kept checking my eyes the first time I wore it and was happy to discover that this performed extremely well. Around the 8-hour mark, my color was still very much in tact and it was only beginning to crease at that point. This stunned me because I didn’t think I’d find anything that worked better on me than Urban Decay’s Primer Potion and it’s giving my beloved Painterly Paint Pot a run for it’s money. I also noticed that the color didn’t look chalky at all. With some products, I’ve found if your eye area is the slightest bit dry, these types of products really accentuate that. This wasn’t the case with this product at all.

I started out only picking up a few things from her line to get acquainted with it but I already know there is definitely going to be more of Trish McEvoy in my future. Have you tried the line? What products do you like?

Petite Simply Chic

Trish McEvoy Petite Simply Chic Palette I haven’t spent a lot of time playing with Trish McEvoy’s line but this cute little palette caught my eye, it’s her Petite Simply Chic palette. It features 4 lip colors on top and a mineral powder, a blush and two eyeshadows on the bottom. The colors are gorgeous. This could be a great palette to take with you to work and it’s designed to fit in Trish McEvoy’s Portable Beauty Brush set. You can pre-order this palette now. Note to self, explore this line a little more. :)
