Beauty VIP of the Week: Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier in Gold Reef

This week came and went in the blink of an eye. Between an intense week at work, Valentine’s Day and new episodes of Ringer and Revenge (which I MUST watch the second they air), I’ve had little time for makeup. Crazy busy schedule calls for crazy simple makeup. My eye makeup, save mascara and eye primer, featured one product: Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier in Gold Reef.

Gold Reef = really blue eyes!

These eyeliners, featuring a very convenient smudger on one end, make smokey rims a piece of cake. Gold Reef is a beautiful chocolate color that brings out my blue eyes. I swipe it not so neatly around my entire eye and then use the smudger to smoke it out before it sets. The lasting power is impressive — especially on the lower lash line. I experience zero migration with these, which is one less thing to worry about when you’re running around like a mad woman all day! Love love love Sue Devitt Eye Intensifiers!

New! Sue Devitt Golden Triangle Collection

The new Sue Devitt Golden Triangle collection is inspired by Sue’s own travels to Northern Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. The subtle diffusion of beautiful golden light on green bamboo, the seductive bronze and charcoal hues of Buddhist temples or the transporting scent of early-morning mist rising from the forest all play a part in this collection. It features a new eye-defining concept and the first-ever well-being fragrance created exclusively by Sue Devitt.

Golden Triangle Eye, Lip & Cheek Highlighter –$22 – an all purpose gel formula highlighter with light reflective properties that blends effortlessly to create accents for eyes, lips and cheeks. The mystic golden-neutral shade is universally flattering and perfect for highlighting all over.

Golden Triange Eye Intensifier Pencil– $22 – this new green black shade is inspired by the misty bamboo forests of Northern Thailand. Shades Chiang Mai (gun metal), and Laos (brown pearl) are also part of this collection.

Lip Enhancing Gloss in Golden Triangle – $22 – this limited edition golden gloss gives lips a sheer wash of color and is formulated with hyaluronic acid to smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, menthol crystals to create fuller lips and orchid extract to protect and moisturize lips.

Lash Intensifier Treatment & Lengthening Mascara – $49 – this mascara has peptide conditioners on one end and algae-fortified mascara formulation on the other. It comes in three shades: Pointe-Noire (black), Kenya (dark brown), and Golden Triangle (green black). When used in tandem as a treatment application in the evening and mascara during the day, claims to promote thicker and longer lashes by 63%.

Silky Eye Shadow – $18 – this pigment rich and crease-resistant formula contains ingredients to hydrate and help protect the delicate eye area environmental pollutants while long-lasting coverage.

Golden Temple Effusion Eau de Toilette – $65 – this Barney’s exclusive scent is inspired by the early-morning mist rising from Thailand’s bamboo forests, a deeply soulful experience that leaves the skin exotically scented. It contains notes of Deep Rainforest Woods, Wild Lily and Exotic Red Berries and is designed to be applied on the pulse points to encourage the flow of chi, or life force, a method Sue developed with an Asian healing ritualist, for an absolute feeling of balance and well-being. Also, a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Blue Planet Network to help bring safe drinking water to Southeast Asia’s Golden Triangle region.

Naturally, the highlighter fiend in me wants to try the new Eye, Lip and Cheek highlighter. I’ve been stalking my local Ulta’s display for the collection to arrive but no luck yet. How about you? Do you have a Golden Triangle sighting? If so, you have to tell me all about it in the comments.

Beauty VIP of the Week: Sue Devitt Lip Intensifier Pencil

I’ve waited very patiently for Sue Devitt’s Lip Intensifier Pencil to come to my local Ulta. Being the chunky lip pencil lover that I am, I’ve been dying to try them. They still haven’t shown up but luckily I received a sample when I was in NYC in May, otherwise I’d still be waiting… because you know I’m too stubborn to order it online. ;) This week this was my go to lip product I realized it definitely deserved to be my Beauty VIP of the week.

This lip pencil comes in 4 shades, all of perfect for that natural lip look in different skin tones. These lip pencils are inspired Sue Devitt’s famous Eye Intensifier Pencils and they feature a formula that moisturizes lips while intensifying their natural color. Do they live up to that claim? I definitely think so. The product goes on soft and somewhat creamy for a lip pencil of this kind. My lips are usually feeling a tad dry with other pencils of this kind but with Sue Devitt’s, they are not screaming for moisture at all.

This is one of those products that falls in the “your lips but better” category and for me, it is a must for perfecting that “no makeup” makeup look even on my laziest of days.  Just this pencil and a touch of gloss and I’m easy, breezy, beautiful.

New! Sue Devitt Microquatic Hydrating Marine Minerals Eye & Cheek Palette

Sue Devitt has added a new palette to her Microquatic Hydrating Marine Minerals collection and I want it! I love the Microquatic palettes, I have almost all of them and now I’m adding this new Solomon Islands palette to my shopping list. This new palette is not just for the eyes but for the cheeks as well. The shades are perfect for spring with a little bronze, a few pink variations and a coral.

Gorgeous, is it not? If you try this, you have to let me know what you think.

Sue Devitt's Microquatic Hydrating Marine Minerals Eye Palettes

Do you obsess over a beauty product for months and months but never end up getting it? That’s what I’ve been doing with Sue Devitt’s Microquatic Hydrating Marine Minerals Eye Palettes.

Sue Devitt's Microquatic Hydrating Marine Minerals Eye Palettes

Every time I stop by Ulta, I walk past these palettes, swatch the eyeshadows on the back of my hand, walk around the store admiring their shades and then leave without them. Why? Because I couldn’t get just one! It would nag at me if I got one without the others. So my plan is to ignore that little voice in my head and slowly start acquiring them. Besides, I’m trying to stick to my budget now!

These palettes are just gorgeous. The eyeshadows are all work together so you can create beautiful smokey eyes in tones of purple (Kilimanjaro), blue (Blue Waters) and green (Green Isles). The pigment is rich and the shades nice and shimmery… love it! My only problem is deciding which Sue Devitt Microquatic Hydrating Marine Minerals Eye Palette to start with… I think I’m leaning towards Green Isles.
