Every year I tell myself that I’ll start shopping early for my holiday gifts but every year the same thing happens, I wait until the last minute. I’m really good at procrastinating I guess. If you’re like me, you still have time to give some really great gifts. Take these gift sets from Product Body for example, a product line with great products.
The Mini Me Set is a great way to try some of Product Body’s most popular products for a great price. For $29, you can try specially sized versions of Joanna’s Cream and Crush On You and receive a full sized jar of her Whipped Shea Butter. I loved this stuff when I tried it and I put it all over… feet, body, face. It’s available in scrumptious scents: Tangerine Slice and Pecan Praline.
Need something a little more substantial? Try the Softy Galore set. It includes full sized versions of Ski Bomb, Cream and Crush On You for $62. This also comes in the same Tangerine Slice and Pecan Praline scents. What you might not know is that Ski Bomb is a new product, it’s Product Body’s all natural winter skin balm made with shea, cocoa, macadamia and sal butters, beeswax and vitamin E. With all of that packed in one product, imagine how moisturized your skin would feel.
Both sets come in a box perfect for gifting so Product Body is got you covered, all you need to do is order.
I adore Joanna Schmidt’s Product Body line of products, they are simply amazing. She inspired me to try my hand at making my own products at home but it’s best that I leave this kind of thing to the professionals.

I didn’t know that I would be taking such a long break from this blog when I published my last entry but that’s how it ended up working out, it’s just something that happened. However, I’m coming back now and what better way than to let you know about my favorite things for 2006? All the cool kids are doing it.
Here are a few of my favorites products I discovered this year, my six for ’06…
From the moment I smelled this perfume, it was love at first sniff. I love powdery scents and this is a great everyday scent for me. It features base notes of musk, vanilla and sandalwood. It also features top notes of lemon and bergamot. All of these notes work beautifully together. This scent has lead me to try more of Creative Scentualization’s perfumes and I’m already hooked. You can find Perfect Veil at La Creme Beauty.
I’m all about low maintenance beauty and this is one of my all time favorite products. I only discovered it this year and it’s replaced every other lip stain I have. Cupid’s Breath and Liquid Kiss are my favorite shades, both are variations of red. The color of your lips can be as low-key or intense as you want it to be, this product provides great buildable color. You can find Vincent Longo’s Lip & Cheek Gel Stain at Sephora.
I can’t thank Colleen enough for mentioning this product to me. This product contains glycolic acid and actually exfoliates all the icky dead skin on your feet. Try slathering this on your feet and cover them up with some nice thick socks for a few nights straight and you’ll be amazed when you finally take a rasp to your feet. You can find Philosophy’s Soul Owner at Sephora.
This is the product that inspired me to try and make my own whipped shea butter. It’s the best I have ever tried… it’s not greasy, has a nice texture to it and smelled so good that I almost wanted to lick myself. You can find Product Body’s Whipped Shea Butter at Product Body.
I seem to be drawn to highlighting products, this one was no exception. I love the lovely pink glow that this product gives my skin. In a sea of gold or silver based highlighters, a pink highlighter with hints of blue is a refreshing change. It’s opened my mind to other highlighting possibilities. You can find Duwop’s Ice at Sephora.
Being a girl with a love for eyeshadow, I couldn’t leave this one off my list. I love everything about these eyeshadows… the bold colors, texture, pigmentation and presentation. What’s not to like? I cannot wait until new shades come out in spring, including new neutral colors. You can find Urban Decay’s Deluxe Eyeshadow at Sephora.

I’ll be back on January 1st with new product reviews and news on upcoming makeup collections including the new MAC Cosmetics Raquel Welch Beauty Icon collection. Until then, stay safe and Happy New Year!
I’ve talked about Product Body products before. I’m a big fan of this line and I’m really happy that Joanna is getting some much deserved attention. She’s inspired me to play around and try to make my own products. Don’t worry though, I will not be competing with anyone, this is just my own experiment. I’ll talk more about this in the podcast tomorrow.
If body scrubs are your thing, you should give Product Body’s Butter Scrub a try. I had actually never tried a sugar or salt scrub until this one and now I’m in love. I use this product when I need a little pick me up. This scrub smells delicious, with all ingredients like cocoa butter, sweet almond oil and sugar, you could almost be mistaken for a Hershey bar. My favorite thing about this product is how soft and smooth it leaves your skin, it exfoliates skin like a dream. A few words of caution, be careful! This stuff can be slippery so you may want to have something handy that can cut through the oils. I couldn’t think of a better way to end the day though.
If hand made, divinely scented products are your thing then you cannot go wrong with Joanna Schmidt’s Product Body. She’s the force behind the most addictive body moisturizers I have tried in a very long time. Everything is made to order in small batches which means fresh products.
The first product I tried was double whipped Product Shea Butter. The first thing that jumped out at me was the delicious vanilla mango scent to this product… yum, it smelled good enough to eat. I put this product everywhere and the next day, my skin felt amazing. I put it on my hands, elbows, knees, feet, face and lips. If there was ever one product that I would consider multi-purpose like this, this is definitely it. Everyone should try this stuff.
Then came Product Cream, a cream infused with shea butter. I tried this product in pink grapefruit and ordinarily, I am not a big fan of this scent. When it came to this cream though, I was pleasantly surprised with how scent actually smelled on my skin once the cream was absorbed. It was not overpowering at all. I really loved how quickly my skin absorbed the moisture and most of all, how long it lasts.
