October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and many companies show their support by donating proceeds from special edition “pink” products towards breast cancer research. Even though October is almost over, there’s still time for some pink power. Here’s a few of our favorite “pink” beauty buys for 2010.
Stila released a special palette in their travel series, Empowered in Pink. It is available at Ulta this October. For $10, you get a convertible color and four eyeshadows.
Already being a big fan of the Mama Mio line, it is no surprise I absolutely love Wonder-Full Balm.
This little 1 oz. pump of super rich balm goes a long, long way and is quite the little rescue remedy for an assortment of skin issues. The texture is extremely thick and only a very small amount is needed, you have to warm it a little to spread it on the skin but once soaked in it’s the ultimate moisture blast.
So far I have used it as an awesome lip moisturizer, cracked heel cure, dry elbow relief and aid to a nasty sunburn on my neck….oh and a very itchy razor burn. This is definitely a product I would purchase again and again and for the mommies out there it has many other uses such as relief for chapped nipples. My little one also had some very chapped hands from over washing and not thoroughly drying at daycare, more like wind burn and the Wonder-full balm was very helpful in healing this.
My other reasons and very important ones at that for loving the Wonder-Full Balm are all the great ingredients it contains. This moisturizing maniac is a blend of 9 different oils such as carrot seed that is great for elasticity and scar reduction, manuka offering anti-bacterial properties, evening primrose and protective waxes like beeswax. Oh and don’t forget the superfoods for the skin such as omega 3, 6 and 9…I could go on and on but just check it out yourself.
Hello everyone! My name is Lea and I’m very excited to start contributing to Product Girl. Hopefully I will bring some useful info to help you make better decisions or at least keep you from wasting some hard earned moulah.
The first few products I want to share with you are from Mama Mio and they use to be part of an Emergency Repair Kit. The kit has since been revamped but it doesn’t hurt to talk about these products individually anyhow.
The first product is Tummy Toner, this is a gel that is for firming, toning, and retexturizing post pregnancy skin. An active combination of containing Papaya Enzymes, Hyaluronic Acid and Soy protein ready to kick in when our bellies are now not so pretty. I actually think this product and company is very cool. When you first apply the gel it’s a little tacky but quickly dries and does not leave you oily making it easy to use anytime. I would like to point out that this is the kind of product you must be diligent with to see results.
The second product is Goodbye Stretch Marks. I love, love this product and yes I’m guilty for going through this one quicker than the first. This is great feeling cream chalked full of active and unique ingredients including Eblica an herb used in Ayurvedic medicine and Matrixyl 3000 a peptide for deep tissue repair that will also help fade and retexturise your stretchmarked skin. I also found that I wanted to slather this on everwhere and did so.
The Jist: I love the airless packaging… these airless pumps help maintain the integrity of the ingredients thus no unnecessary preservatives. I believe overall this is a helpful and active ugly tummy fighting duo. No, it won’t knock off 20 pounds of baby weight but I believe it will help that tummy look a little cuter then it did before.
