Friends and Family Sale

Tis the season for Friends & Family sales. If you’re a planner like we fancy ourselves to be, you’ll take advantage of these opportunities to snag some amazing holiday gifts. And maybe a little treat for yourself, too. has its 20% F&F sale going on through Friday, November 9, and it’s definitely worth checking out. They’ve added a ton of new brands to the site, many that don’t normally go on sale. We were excited to see the luxe Sunday Riley, organic powerhouse Vapour and hair genius Sarah Potempa (Beachwaver, anyone?)!

Here’s our top F&F picks!

bareMinerals Light Up The Room Collection ($39), a.k.a. Do it for the Well-Rested Face & Eye Brightener (raves seen here previously). We also love the Renew & Hydrate Eye Cream, Illuminating Mineral Veil and Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Prime with its pretty gold sheen action.

Rahua Shampoo ($32, 9.3 oz) has been on my radar forever. It has a cult following of sorts (especially in the natrual and I’ve only heard amazing things. Time to try, right? It’s 100% natural with coconut and shea butters and even some quinoa to help with moisture retention.

Sarah Potempa Mini “Touch Up” Iron ($35), Discovering Sarah Potempa, celeb hair guru and creator of the most user-friendly tools for us gals at home, was a highlight of 2012 for me. I’m sure her mini flat iron, coated with ceramic and tourmaline, obviously, will be a travel and gym bag staple for me. Totally loving the case, too!

Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick Trio ($30) is so very gorgois , as Ms. Mally would say. Breaks down to $10 per tube pre-discount, so it’s a no-brainer must. Mally’s liquid lipstick is one of the best and these colors are so wearable. A great gift for any woman in your life.

Sunday Riley Effortless Breathable Tinted Primer ($48), is a product I’ve been very curious about. It’s a multi-purpose primer/skin plumper with peptides and Rejuvenox that basically keeps skin breathing and drenched in oxygen. The presence of a tint gives me hope that this could work in place of foundation on some days!

Mally 24/7 Gel Nail Polish System

Mally 24/7 Gel Nail Polish System

We know Mally is all about bulletproof beauty and now that is translating into bulletproof nails thanks to Mally’s new 24/7 Gel Nail Polish System. This isn’t the first system of its kind, we’ve seen others sets in stores before, but none of them are this complete and we love that about this system. Mally has thought of everything with this set from application to removal and that kind of attention to detail in this set is why we love Mally.

With that said, Mally’s system does cost more than others but you definitely get more for your money. Most systems only give you one shade to play with and here you get three. Mally also includes a bowl to soak your nails and a tool to help your cuticles look pretty. My favorite part of this set is the nice big, roomy LED lamp, this way your nail polish is cured in seconds and not minutes like it is with a UV lamp. Here’s a list of the other items in this set:

  • Nail Surface Cleanser
  • Nail Prep
  • Gel Primer
  • Base Coat
  • Top Coat
  • Soak-Off Gel Polish Remover
  • Cuticle Oil
  • Double-sided nail file
  • Instructional DVD
  • Quick-reference guide

The Mally 24/7 Gel Nail Polish System is available exclusively on QVC and retails for $149.88 plus shipping and handling. You might want to keep an eye on QVC for any Mally shows. When she introduced this system last month, the system was available on EasyPay, which makes this price tag a little easier to digest. Also, Mally has introduced new shades to the system that you can purchase individually as well each of the components in the system. Wouldn’t you rather do this at home than spend an hour in a salon?

New! Mally Beauty Fragrance

Today Mally Roncal, the gorgeous and inspiring makeup artist behind Mally Beauty, is introducing her first perfume. The Mally Beauty Fragrance is just what you would expect from Mally, it’s refreshing and bubbly just like Mally. The fragrance also pays homage to Mally’s heritage using the Sampaguita flower – the national flower of the Philippines.

I’ll tell you a little more about this fragrance next week once I recover from this flu I’ve been hit with this week and can actually smell things more clearly! 🙂

All About Eyes

I’ve mentioned before that I don’t do a lot of online shopping, you can add shopping from TV to the list of things I don’t usually do. I did make an exception recently though, I ordered a few things from QVC on their EasyPay anniversary. One of the things I got was Mally’s Beauty All About Eyes set. I was prepared to be disappointed with what I received but luckily, I was not.

Mally Beauty's All About Eyes set This set includes an eyeshadow palette with 3 shadows and a base, a double ended mascara, a double ended eyeliner with 2 shades, 3 brushes and a double ended eye brightening powder and pencil. I expected to receive a very flimsy set of products but I was very surprised at the quality of everything I received. The brushes impressed me the most, the bristles are very soft and and the body is very sturdy. I have to admit that I now have a crush on Mally’s crease brush.

As for the lasting power of these products, this has been good as well. It’s been warm and humid lately and I’ve come home at the end of an 8 hour day to see the color’s still there. The color in the crease did fade but I blame that on my super duper crease inducing lids. A little bit of prep with a different product would probably do the trick. The lightening wand has been quite handy. The other side is a liner that works really well as a nude liner to correct little things here and there. The wider end of the mascara has been fun to use as well. Mally call’s this the lash finder because it finds even the tiniest lashes.

I’ve been having a lot of fun with this set lately and this has made me think twice about shopping on TV. These tweezers might be next. Mally Beauty products are sold exclusively on QVC.
