Jemma Kidd Makeup School Rosy Glow Lip & Cheek Tint

You know how you have heard of something for a long time yet you have never tried it? I had heard about Jemma Kidd Makeup School Rosy Glow Lip & Cheek Tint for years but because I like to touch things before I buy, it wasn’t until I was at Space NK in New York last month that I finally got my hands on it… and it was long overdue!

This stain’s formula is old school, it’s a fluid rosy stain like Benetint, only there are differences in packaging and color. The color of the stain is nice, it is a soft red that gives lips that “bitten” look but it can also be built up for more intensity. It is not as bright as Benetint, this stain is deeper and looks a little plumy as you layer it on.

And as you can see, it comes with more convenient packaging. This rollerball can make application on the lips a little tricky (like excess product if you get too close to the edge of your lips) but I found it is great for applying the stain onto cheeks. There‚Äôs no tell-tale mark from when the stain first came into contact with skin. I just hate it when that happens. This one blends beautifully and gives my cheeks a gorgeous flush of color like I was just out for a run or something… only I’m far too lazy for that.

Have you tried this stain? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments.

Jemma Kidd Make Up School

Doryn recently did something I have wanted to do for awhile now, she took classes at Jemma Kidd Make Up School. Since I won’t be able to make it to London in the near future, playing with Jemma Kidd Make Up School products will do for now.

Jemma Kidd Eye Wardrobe Quartet I have to admit, I was impressed with this product’s packaging. It suggests how to apply the colors by labeling them as highlight, accent, define and mid shades. If nothing else, Jemma seems to want to ensure her customers are educated, this guide and her line’s name says it all. The Eye Wardrobe Eyeshadow Quartets come in 5 different shades, each quartet features carefully selected shades that can help you easily change your look from day to night. I tried this product in Plum and was happy to find it could do more than just give me a gorgeous smokey eye, I have been using the mid and highlighting colors quite a bit for a neutral look. When put to the test, this eyeshadow blends very well and has everything I love in an eyeshadow: texture, pigmentation and lasting power.

I have been having fun playing with the other products from Jemma’s line like the Contour & Flush Creme Blush Duo and the Eye Define Stay Put Eye Liner. These reviews are coming soon but in the meantime, those of us in the US can find these products at Neiman Marcus.
