A hot bath was the furthest thing from my mind today but now I am longing for one since I saw these Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Pearl Essence Bath Beads on Nordstrom’s website. I’m thinking I should just get these now and be prepared for when cooler weather comes in. 😉
I have been dying for these to come out for months now. I had the chance to smell the fragrance in a meeting and feel the bath beads on my skin earlier in the year. I am one of those gals that is hardcore about her Cashmere Mist obsession and love every incarnation of the scent out there. The newest is Cashmere Mist Pearl Essence and it takes my beloved Cashmere Mist and just makes it a little more sultry and sexy. It was love at first sniff.
These bath beads make your bathwater silky and soften the skin while delicately scented it with Cashmere Mist Pearl Essence. Let it be the first step in your scent layering process, it is $45 for a 7 oz. jar and it will be your favorite new bath time indulgence.
To wrap up our favorites of the past year, we’re going to take a look at a few of our favorite perfumes and bath and body products.
Korres Melon Shower Gel – This was a summer favorite of ours for its enchanting scent but stuck around as a favorite because of the formula. It’s packed with the good stuff, like aloe and vitamins A and E, and feels great on skin.
EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream – We’d all but abandoned shave cream until this wonder product from EOS came along. Admittedly, the packaging piqued our interest, but what’s inside is even better. It’s more like a shaving lotion and can be used wet or dry, irritation-free. Love this stuff!
Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia – Inspired by a walk in the orchard, this fragrance is so natural and inviting. It doesn’t reek of fruit either, it really strikes the perfect balance with every note. Laurie really has a true “product man” in her life — this fragrance was an anniversary gift from her husband in September.
Donna Karan Iris – This perfume was my summertime friend. It is fresh and vibrant and just all around a beautiful floral fragrance. Can I just say this? When it comes to fragrance, Donna Karan rarely gets it wrong.
Chloe Intense – Chloe released a few different perfumes last year but my favorite was an ramped version of their original Chloe perfume. I wrote about it back in April, I loved it then and I love it now even more in the winter. This rose note fragrance is so alluring and makes this gal feel a little more refined when she wears it.
Philosophy Eternal Grace – It was bound to happen… another “grace” scent from Philosophy. Eternal Grace goes in a different direction that the other fragrances in the series, this one has some citrus notes to it making it fresh and lighter than the others but still has some of that “grace” core that we have come to know and love… it is new but still familiar like an old friend.
What were your favorites perfumes and bath and body products from last year?
Since I love Cashmere Mist (so much that I frequently layer myself with the body lotion and deodorant) it doesn’t take much to get my attention when it comes to a Donna Karan fragrance. When I saw Lianne from The Makeup Girl tweeting about the new Iris Eau de Parfum addition to the Donna Karan Collection, I just had to smell it.
Ever since I discovered iris as a prominent note in my bottle of Iris from Hilde Soliani, I’ve been obsessed with iris and if you notice, it is a prominent note in another best seller… Prada’s Infusion D’Iris. Donna Karan takes iris in a different direction with her new Iris Eau de Parfum, it is refreshing and stands out among the florals currently out in department stores.
At the opening of the scent, Iris is crisp and sparkling. It makes me want to roll around in a meadow like Bella and Edward. This crispness keeps Iris from being overly sweet or floral. The opening quickly gives way to the heart of the fragrance where you have notes of magnolia, rose de mai, violet and ambrette seed mellowing out into a seductive spring floral. And how sleek is this packaging? The signature black cylindrical 3.4 oz bottle is definitely vanity table worthy.
The new Iris Eau de Parfum is making its debut this month at Bergdorf Goodman in New York (that place is like heaven!), Donna Karan Collection Boutiques and select Neiman Marcus stores.
Have you smelled Iris yet? What do you think? Are you in love like I am? Let us know about it in the comments.
