Bobbi Brown has a new collection for the holiday season, her Copper Diamond collection. This collection introduces a new Copper Diamond Shimmer Brick, 3 new Glitter Lip Balms and a limited edition Everything Mascara and waterproof Lash Glamour Lengthening Mascara duo.

Having become a recent Shimmer Brick convert, this one was immediately added to my wishlist. With it’s shades of Candlelight, Gold, Copper, Beige, and Sand, how can it not? The Glitter Lip Balms seem interesting as well. I usually do not go for lip balms like this but I’m thinking Crystal Diamond might look nice over a stain.

When I was little and we’d go visit family in Portugal, my mother would buy me something on the flight from New York to Lisbon. I have a weakness for Swatch watches so every time we’d travel to my parents home, I’d get a Swatch. I thought of this during my return flight from Paris to Houston and thought I owed myself a grown up travel gift. That ended up being a Bobbi Brown Pink Shimmer Brick with Brush.

Now I know that I could have gotten this at home but I lured in by the brush! I picked this up for $42 US. When you compare that to it’s retail price of $38 for the compact alone and add in sales tax and perhaps shipping depending on how you purchase this, that’s a pretty good deal. Right? That’s what I told myself anyhow.

So what’s the moral of this story? Next time you’re on an international flight, make sure you check out what duty free items are available to you! Check back to see the travel palettes from Chanel, Guerlain and Lancome… those are the real lookers from my trip.

We’ve been talking so much about skincare and other body products lately that I’m excited to talk about makeup again. I couldn’t think of a better way to get back in the makeup swing of things than Bobbi Brown’s new Nude collection. For those of us who love neutral, everyday wear friendly shades this collection is fabulous. It features a new limited edition palette with four lipsticks and four eyeshadows and four new limited edition Glitter Gloss shades.

The lipsticks are right up my alley. With this palette I’m armed with gorgeous shades of medium brownish pink, light warm beige, deep pink brown and beige plum brown. On my skin tone, I have everything I need to create a soft understated look or play up my lips a bit more without being too dramatic. The four eyeshadows are equally gorgeous as well. There is one shade, the Nude Shimmer Wash, that would make a nice all over shade but the rest are great defining colors. There are shades to give your eyes some subtle definition or shades like the Buff Shimmer Wash can help tone up the intensity. I’m absolutely in love with this palette, it’s now a permanent resident in my makeup bag. Honestly, I seem to love all of Bobbi’s palettes.

On to the Glitter Glosses… they are so adorable. Again, these are limited edition shades so they won’t be around forever. Here’s a little more information on the shades:

• Almost Bare: sandy gold with glitter.
• Buff: beige pink with glitter.
• Naked: medium nude with glitter.
• Nude: light nude with glitter.

I’m in love with the first model’s look, her look is the epitome of a nude look to me. Wouldn’t it be great to look this gorgeous everyday? Later in the week I’ll post of a photo of me wearing these shades.

While you’re at the Bobbi Brown product, you may want to check out her new Creamy Lip Colors.

This product comes in matte and shimmery shades that is like butter on your lips. It features Shea Butter and other skin conditioners to keep lips soft and provides rich, creamy color that lasts. I’ve been told that the color is not as heavily pigmented as a regular matte or shimmery lipstick but what it lacks in pigment, sounds like it makes up it in wear. I’ve added Heather Buff and Honeysuckle to my shopping list, what shades would you add?

Do you love shimmer? Then you’ve got to try these palettes from Bobbi Brown. I foolishly overlooked them for some time but once I had the chance to try them, I’ve been having fun ever since.

The Bobbi Brown’s Metallics collection features four palettes with three color co-ordinated and high shimmer eyeshadows. It comes in Velvet Plum (gorgeous shades!), Forest, Burnt Sugar and Midnight.

I was really surprised with how much shimmer there really is in these eyeshadows, it makes it a really fun assortment of colors to use. The eyeshadows themselves are very soft and blend extremely well. Even blending novices will be able to work with this. I’ve been using the Burnt Sugar palette lately and it’s fabulous for turning your daytime look into an evening one. Burnt Sugar is a great crease color and Gold Dust is just that, a great golden shimmery shade. I’ve even started using this as a highlighter when my usual one isn’t around. The catch is that these are limited edition so you’ll need to act quickly.

Oh Bobbi Brown, how I love you…

One of my all time (read: staple) favorite products is the Shimmer Brick Compact by Bobbi Brown. This 5 color item is super versatile because you can use it on your cheeks and eyes so you don’t have to feel too guilty for forking over 38 big ones! I originally fell in love with this when they first released it in this beautiful bronze color. The shimmer can look a bit daunting but when blended in well you will get nothing but a glamorous look that will work for both day and night. The line subsequently came out with drool worthy colors like peony and apricot. I am still mad I don’t own every single one. I promise you, if you try this, you will receive compliments galore.

Another yummy product is Diamond Dust. This item is so popular that you may have to wait for your cherry, little package of delight. Let me tell you, though, it is so worth it. Normally I don’t wear a lot of gold — makeup or otherwise — because it doesn’t look great with my skin but I love to participate in the new trends and this is a cool and easy way to do so. This richly pigmented powder opened up my eyes and made me look more awake. Right now, Gilded is the only color the line has created but they are debuting 5 new shades later this month. I, for one, cannot wait!

Speaking of Bobbi Brown, she’s got this fantastic new palette out for fall. It’s called the Chocolate Eye Palette and it’s got some gorgeous colors in it. While I do like my bold colors, I’m also really into this colors. Almost all of the colors are exclusive to this palette, Bone is the only one you can buy on it’s own. There are some shades with a bit of shimmer and some without. There are enough colors in this palette for a really gorgeous neutral look. For Bobbi fans, this palette is a must have.

When you pair this with some of the other products in the Chocolate Collection, watch out. The Chocolate Cherry nail polish is beautiful, it makes me want to stop biting my nails again.

I have a obsession and it’s name is Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow. I am in love… completely, hopelessly and utterly in love. I have never been a big Bobbi Brown fan. I’ve found her products to be a little on the safe side and maybe a bit boring (see? I like color) but now I can bow down at the Bobbi Brown alter and give her the respect she has deserved from me all along.

I played with this product over the weekend and I’m happy to say, this product really does live up to it’s name. I put this on my eyes without any sort of base at approximately 2pm. I kept checking my eyes about every two hours and creasing only began at about 8pm. Even then, it was the pigment that I was wearing that was creasing up. Six hours worth of crease-less eyeshadow? What’s not to like? I got this product in Bone and it made for a great base and minimalist look. Everyone should have at least one of these.
