Drugstore Deal: Blistex Natural Cooling Comfort

I first spotted this gem in the September issue of Lucky – in Beauty Editor Jean Godfrey-June’s monthly column, The Beauty Closet. She raved about this balm and its price – $2! I spotted this a few weeks ago at Walgreens, so I thought I’d give it a whirl myself.

Blistex Natural Cooling Comfort is a 100 percent all-natural, USDA-certified organic lip soother that contains an external analgesic to help provide cooling pain relief from chapped or dry lips. It contains organic ingredients like olive leaf, aloe, pomegranate, grapeseed and apricot oils and jojoba. The flavor to me is very mild, almost a hint of lemon. It’s actually really pleasant and tastes great! I also noticed that there is a slightly gritty texture, like a few lone granules per application. In this case, they really work to help smooth your lips.

I think this product is worth trying. I can’t say it is very long-lasting, but it leaves my lips so incredibly smooth that I don’t really mind.
