Product Girl Faves: The Best of Spring Beauty

Spring weather is here, which means summer beauty is soon to be in full-swing. But before we start lathering on sunscreen and bronzer, we thought we’d give a nod to our favorite products from spring, before they disappear from counters and lose that top spot in our makeup bags. We may say this every season, but there were so many amazing beauty products in spring collections. It really was very difficult to narrow down the best of the best. But here goes, in no particular order…

Chanel Spring 2010 Collection – this Chanel Spring collection had us at “hello”, it is classic and totally wearable. It was packed full of neutral shades ranging from pink and beige to warm brown and khaki, shades that would look good on any woman. We loved practically everything about it, including the now famous Le Vernis in Particuliere. This is the greige nail color that started it all a few months ago and was all the rage. We definitely fell for it and even found a great dupe along the way.

Laura Mercier Radiant Creme Cheek ColorProduct Girl should almost be synonymous with “addicted to highlighters.” We really have a thing for them and this lovely creme highlighter from Laura Mercier’s Polished collection is well, radiant. Three-fourth’s of the pan is a peachy pink highlighter, a tiny strip of metallic gold and the remaining fourth is a cranberry red. Mixed together it is a beautiful blush, but it’s almost too pretty to do that so we’ve been playing it safe and using it primarily as a highlighter and lovely it is.

Milani HD Advanced Concealer - It may look like the YSL touch eclat, but this one has tricks of its own. Laurie’s been working this concealer overtime for nearly two months - primarily as an under-eye refresher at the end of the work day. This brightens and conceals and the creamy consistency never creases or looks heavy.

Trish McEvoy Demure Sparkle Eye Base Essentials - Pink? Check. Sparkly? Check. We love Trish Eye Bases at Product Girl and this one from the Demure collection is just divine. It adds some subtle bling to the lid and is perfect both on its own and layered under shadows, especially matte shadows.

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick – Product Girl HQ has really taken a liking to these lipsticks. They are by far one of the best drugstore formulas we’ve encountered. Soft Nude and Rosy Nude are two of our faves – the latter reminds us so much of Nars Dolce Vita. Forget spring, these will probably be a year-long fave!

Bath & Body Works P.S. I Love You Spring Fling – Simply put, this smells amazing. It’s fresh, rosey – with a twist of something citrusy and clean. Laurie first got hooked with the shower gel and then quickly stocked up with the fragrance mist, bubble bath and body cream and is happy to report she can’t get enough.

Lancome Ink Artliner in Teal Delight - Laurie attributes her new found obsession with teal to this product from Lancome’s Ô My Rose collection. The formula is unlike any other – more dry, but in this case that’s a good thing – and the color is gorgeous. This product will continue to be loved all summer long – it’s just too pretty.

MAC Cremeblend Blush – It was love at first sight with these blushes from MAC in Lillyland. They are bright pops of color that instantly brighten up the face. And the good news is, I think that counters still have them in stock! Spotted them at Macy’s recently mixed in with all of the other blushes.

Tarte Lipsurgence Natural Lip Stain – Tarte knocked it out the park with these and we can’t get enough. They are moisturizing and glossy on top of the fact that they are lip stains. We’re most obsessed with the shade in Maureen’s Favorites – Peaceful, a peachy nude!

Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander Collection – what is Spring without a little citrus? This collection smells like a dream. It is so refreshing! Laurie’s become very popular at work due to the rejuvenating hand lotion she uses at her desk. Every time she puts it on, someone notices the smell (and many of her female coworkers like to use it!) And I love the hand scrub, it’s a gentle exfoliator that keeps my hands smooth.

Now that we’ve shared our spring faves, it’s your turn – let us know what you couldn’t get enough of this season! Leave us a comment.

    1. Cindy, I have the same problem with Milani. In Seattle, it is really hard to find but I’m going to keep looking and next time I find a display, it’s on! :)
