Cupid’s Bow Is Taking Aim

Benefit Cupid's Bow Here’s another product from Benefit that seems interesting…

Benefit’s Cupid’s Bow is product that helps you enhance the shape of your helps, giving you a sexy, shapely pout. It includes a double ended pencil and a double ended brush. On one end of the pencil, you have a pearl pink tip. When applied to the bow of your lips, it defines the center part of your lips making them appear more pouty. The other end of the pencil is a soft mocha pink tip you can apply right under your bottom lip, this helps the define the bottom lip. The double ended brush helps you blend the color applied to each lip. This has been a makeup artist’s trick for years, now you can have a tool with step by step directions to help you at home.

Don’t the results look great?

The model is clearly wearing lipgloss in the “after” picture that she is not wearing in the “before”. I hate this sort of thing, like false lashes in mascara ads. When I see this sort of false advertising, it assures that I will not be buying the product, and will think negatively of the brand in general.

Calm down, it clearly states in the instructions that they added lipgloss, if you read everything that went with the picture. And even if it didnt, its clear that they were showing a completely “undone” lip and then one that had been enhanced with Benefit products. Nothing sneaky about that. Although i actually do agree with you on the false eyelashes thing. It doesnt seem right that they are allowed to falsely advertise mascara the way they do. Why not just sell stick on eyelashes instead?

THESE 2 DIFFERENT ITEMS ARE MADE TO MAKE YOUR LIPS LOOK PLUMPER AND PRETTIER. ITS PRETTY MUCH ALL AN ILLUSION BC YOUR LIPS ARE NOT PLUMPING, ITS JUST THE WAY YOU USE THE LIP PENCIL & BRUSHES. I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT THE OUTCOME LOOKS BEAUTIFUL, LIP GLOSS OR NOT!
