Fun Job! Become a Makeup Artist!

Their work is at the Emmy’s. You’ll see their colors during New York Fashion Week. Their contour is on every Kardashian. Whether you are consciously aware or not, makeup artistry is everywhere. With the boom in the media industry, from reality television to social media, In Style to Life & Style, this career brings a lot of exciting opportunities, which is why it’s so in demand!

At Chic Studios NYC, a leading makeup school in lower Manhattan, the goal is to make every aspiring makeup artist prepared to tackle a challenging, yet inspiring and creative career! Chic Studios NYC educates beginners and advanced makeup artists looking to be the next Scott Barnes or Pat McGrath in their brightly light studio.

Chic Studios NYC’s most popular program is an intensive 84-hour course designed to emerge the most confident, prepared makeup artists into the industry. Included in the program is your choice of an advanced workshop (Fashion and Runway Makeup, Television and Music Video Makeup, or Period Makeup 1920s-2000s), as well as a Professional Portfolio Photo Shoot, and every girl’s dream — a full makeup kit and brush set from major brands like MAC, Makeup Forever, BH Cosmetics, and more!

What sets Chic Studios NYC apart, however, is their commitment to their students, even post-graduation. What they call the “Chic Community,” includes gig opportunities in freelance careers (brides, special events), hiring fairs for cosmetic retailing with top brands like MAC, Sephora, and Macy’s and networking events!

Just last month, 25 graduates participated in New York Fashion Week, and Chic graduate Danielle Klatsky was sent to the Emmy’s to work on Morgan Saylor and Jackson Pace of Showtime’s HOMELAND!

You’ve brought tears to my eyes! Becoming a PMUA is a passion of mine and has been on every “To do before I die” list I’ve ever written. Unfortunately I don’t live in NYC. Do you know of any decent schools in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina (Greensboro or Charlotte)?

p.s. I’m a newcomer to your blog and I love it!
