It is at times like these that I am very happy that BeautyFix has come along. If it wasn’t for their program, I would have never tried Kerstin’s Florian Spa Face Aromatherapy Neroli Water on my own… I would have gone on clueless that this fabulous product even existed.
Kerstin’s Florian Spa Face Aromatherapy Neroli Water is all natural water with orange blossom to soothe and hydrate skin. You can use it on your face as well as on any other part of your body that needs soothing. So far, my favorite use for this has been spritzing this on after waxing. It does a great job of soothing and calming all the inflamed skin I just finished waxing. It is also a great way to moisturize your skin if you’re feeling a little a dry and don’t want to put on more moisturizer. I reach for this while I’m working to try and improve some dry areas of my skin.
Can I just say how good this stuff smells? The name says it all… neroli orange blossom. It’s a total treat to just spray this on. I use to carry a little spray bottle of Evian water around with me but once I started using Kerstin’s Florian Spa Face Aromatherapy Neroli Water, I ditched it and keep this in my bag instead. Plus the pump is a little more eco-friendly. 🙂
Do you remember how I was lusting after the new Serge Lutens Water Lip Color? I got my hands on it a few days after I mentioned that product and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment.
Even though I’m a beauty blogger, I still buy into the hype at times. This Water Lip Color from Serge Lutens is a great example of that. I love the perfume so I thought this product was a no brainer but not so.
At first I thought I picked the wrong shade. I picked the “sheer red” that looked more like iodine than anything else. Even after realizing that, I kept an open mind because I really wanted to love this product. When I started to apply it, I found that the color really needed some help in the intensity department. I had to apply 4 layers before I achieved the color I wanted. What was even more disappointing was how this layered color felt and lasted on my lips. My lips felt sticky and what was worse was that I could actually lick the color off my lips. Oh Serge, I really, really wanted to love you.
I hate to be negative but for as much as this product cost me, I expected greatness. For all I know, the other beauty products from Serge Lutens could be mind blowing but I know I will not be taking a chance on them given my experience with this Serge Lutens Water Lip Color. Now the perfume, that’s a different story. 🙂
Have you tried this or any other Serge product? What’s your favorite lip stain? Let us know in the comments.
This past Friday night, my friend and I ended up at Nordstrom, as we always do when we’re near the mall, and she spotted the new Philosophy Apricots and Cream gift set. She loves the smell of apricots so she was all over this new set. I usually am not crazy about this scent but her enthusiasm rubbed off on me and now I’m obsessed with it!
After slathering my hands in the sample I received from the SA all morning, I thought it would be worth sharing. 🙂 The new Apricots and Cream gift set includes an 8oz. size 3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath and an 8oz. firming body emulsion all in this new scent. For $24, that’s not bad at all. There’s also an Apricots and Cream Lip Shine available for $12. If you’re really serious, you can buy each product individually in a 16oz. size.

I love big, thick lipstick pencils. After lip stains, I would say that’s my next favorite kind of lip product. They can act like lip liners and lipstick, all in one product… what’s not to love there?
Next time you see a NYX display, you have to check out their Jumbo Lip Pencils. They are wallet friendly at under $4 each and they are fantastic. They are long lasting, super creamy, well pigmented and they leave a nice, soft shine on the lips. I seem to rack up the compliments on my lip color when I wear these.
A word of advice here, do not base your decision on the “swatches” displayed on NYX’s website. Those swatches are awful and do not do these lip pencils any justice at all. If you can, try to see them in person or check out these swatches from Makeup Geek. Chances are it’s not going to be your skintone but you should be able to see the difference.

Next time you’re at Whole Foods or your local grocery’s natural products section, check out Hugo Naturals. Their line of all natural products is fantastic and they smell divine!
It all started with their Pineapple & Coconut Lip Balm, you could say it’s my “gateway” product… I start using a new line usually with their lip balm and little by little, I try other things. That’s exactly what happened here with Hugo Naturals. I loved the lip balm, it has a nice, thick consistency to it (who doesn’t like that?) and it’s cheap! Before long, I had several of these scattered around at home, work and in the car.
My love for their lip balms led to trying their bar soaps, shower gels and bath soaks. Everything I have tried has been great, the soap has the right amount of lather and the shower gel just takes over the senses. All in all, I have yet to find a product of theirs that I don’t like.

I was just about to check out when I was in Ulta on Monday when I saw this adorable little Too Faced Love Lisa Luxury Lip Balm with SPF15. Even though I need another lip balm like I need a hole in the head, I thought I’d pick it up anyhow… it gave me a chance to use my favorite excuse for buying a new product, “it’s for charity”! 😉 In fact, Too Faced is donating 25% of the net proceeds to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
Besides having a cute little charm that jingles attached to it, this Too Faced Love Lisa Luxury Lip Balm with SPF15 is fantastic. It’s a little on the pricey side for it’s size but fantastic nonetheless. It’s texture is right up my alley, it’s super thick and just coats your lips in moisture. It doesn’t hurt that it smells so delicious, it smells and even tastes like you’re taking a bite straight out of a creamsicle. I keep re-applying it even when I don’t need to just for that smell!
I’m sort of new to the whole dry shampoo thing, I have not been using them since the dawn of time like everyone else and their mom. I’ve used them here and there for a bit but it wasn’t until this year that I started using them more consistently. Anything to help save time in the morning, right?
Now I found a dry shampoo that really works for me and I’m not giving it up, Klorane’s Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk has changed the way I look at dry shampoo forever. This was the product used on the set of Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette so now I think of Kirsten Dunst’s hair in the movie every time I use this product… with the soundtrack playing in my head. 🙂
I’ve tried quite a few of them and they have not worked as well as I had hoped or irritated my scalp. With Klorane’s Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, I’m free to use it as much as I want because it won’t irritate my scalp. When you spray the product on and let it sit for a few minutes, it leaves your hair powdery white. While I spend a little more time with this making sure it doesn’t look like I dredged my head in flour, the time spent is well worth it.
This product performs pretty well. When I used different dry shampoos, the norm was that my hair looked good during the first part of the day but by in the afternoon, all the magical oil absorbing powers were used up. Not the case here at all…I can use this product and know for sure that my roots will not be oily by the end of the day.
What’s your favorite dry shampoo? Have you tried this one? Let us know in the comments.
