I have yet to see America Ferrera looking anything but gorgeous at an event. Last night’s Golden Globes is no exception. Makeup artist Linda Hay kept America’s look simple and sweet to compliment her chic Oscar de la Renta dress.
Here’s the scoop from Linda Hay:
Linda used Jouer’s Age Repairing Brightener around the eye and on the nose to illuminate America’s eyes. “The skin, I kept as sheer as possible by using as little as possible. I like to cover whatever’s required without over doing it because America has beautiful skin.” Linda said. On the cheeks, using finger-tip application, Linda applied Jouer’s Lip and Cheek Tint in Amaryllis, a sheer warm read which blended in to compliment America’s skin tone. On her eyes she applied a light and sheer shimmer all over the lid and inner corner of the eye, with a metallic silver shadow in the crease. Using a black pencil, Linda then applied a thin, defined line right above her lashes. Linda finished the eyes by applying 3 coats of Dior Blackout Mascara to America’s eyes to make them pop.
I can’t wait to see what she’ll look like at her next event, I’m sure it will be fabulous.
Celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow worked with the lovely Mary Louise Parker for her red carpet look for the Golden Globes with products from Tarte.

Makeup artist Mai Quynh worked with HBO’s Big Love actress Ginnifer Goodwin for her red carpet look. Ginnifer normally appears very clean and fresh when on Big Love but last night she wore a softer smokey eye with soft lips.
Here’s how Mai achieved this look:
“Since Ginnifer’s hair was pulled back into a chignon, my inspiration for her look was an old Prada ad. On her eyelids I swept on a blend of Mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadows in Wink Wink and Corset from the lashline and blended it into the crease. I used the same shades to line the bottom of her eyes, and then coated her eyelashes with Mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven.”
Blend Mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Nude on the apple of cheeks.
Apply Mark Dew Drenched Moisturlicious Lip Color in Mist.
Mai Quynh also did Miley Cyrus’s red carpet look for the Golden Globes. Check out here look here.
Jenna Fischer looked gorgeous last night! With the help of makeup artist Brett Freedman she stunned everyone with her sexiest look yet. He gave Jenna a more vivid glam look. Here’s what he used:
Foundation: LORAC Oil Free Powder Foundation in #02 (light)
Loose Powder: * magic by Prescriptives in Deep Translucent. (It has a gorgeous light reflective quality with a hint of bronze and photographs beautifully.)
Concealer: Cle De Peau Concealer in Beige.
Blush: Almay Smart Shade Blush in Natural, topped with LORAC Oil Free Illuminating Powder in Luminous on apples of the cheeks.
Eyeshadow: Rimmel Colour Rush Mono Eyeshadow in #330 Azure, applied wet and swept over lids and blended down to a sheer finish.
Liquid Liner: Lancome Laque Liner in Pure Black. Applied a line across the top lash line, thickening and extending out and upward for a dramatic look.
Brow Highlight Shadow: L’Oreal HiP Pigment Powder in Restless. (I love to have a bright, crisp browbone. This champagne hued shadow looks natural yet packs a punch.)
Mascara: VANITYMARK ‘the LASH’ Mascara in Blackest. Three coats were applied to really amp up the top lashline. One full coat on the bottom to give eyes definition without overpowering the top lash line.
Faux Lashes: Kre-At Beauty individual lashes. A mix of the short (on the inner eye) and the long (for outer) in black were used to give an alluring sweep.
Body Bronzer: VANITYMARK Summerskin, applied first to ‘tone down’ the tawny shade so Jenna would have a healthy glow without being too tan. (When you’re showing that much flesh it’s good to have a nice lift of color.)
Lips: Benefit Pocket Pal in Benetint.
