Dolce & Gabbana will be releasing a makeup line next month. The collection was developed with the assistance of makeup artist Pat McGrath and it’s about bringing glamour back to makeup with the core of the collection being lipstick.
The line’s packaging is glossy metal gold with rounded edges housed in little black velvet pouches, just like Dior and Chanel. The colors in the line are strong like blues inspired by the Mediterranean, black and gold from the island of Stromboli and burgundy inspired by the dahlia. Also, the lipsticks are perfumed with a trademark rose scent and mascara with a peppery olfactory note.
Scarlett Johansen is featured in the ad for this new line seen here:
It’s easy to understand why more people start a new diet in January than in any other month, all those new year resolutions! So Philosophy has introduced a new shower gel set called A Diet You Can Live With. No calories here, just a treat for your senses.
Philosophy’s A Diet You Can Live With set includes three 6 oz. shower gels in Pink Frosted Layer Cake, Creme Brulee and Classic Fudge Cake. I’m a sucker for Creme Brulee, maybe smelling like it is the next best thing to eating it.
Stay tuned for a new giveaway starting next with this set and more from Philosophy.
I cannot wait to get my hands on Lancome’s Pink Irreverence collection, I think it’s safe to say that it’s my favorite of the spring releases just based on the images alone. Ever since I heard the black gloss from the Piha Red set was making it’s reappearance in this collection, I’ve been so excited to see it. If these are the kinds of releases we will continue to see in the future from Aaron de Mey, Lancome will be keeping us on our toes. The bold and modern use of color is just stunning and inspiring.

I have yet to see America Ferrera looking anything but gorgeous at an event. Last night’s Golden Globes is no exception. Makeup artist Linda Hay kept America’s look simple and sweet to compliment her chic Oscar de la Renta dress.
Here’s the scoop from Linda Hay:
Linda used Jouer’s Age Repairing Brightener around the eye and on the nose to illuminate America’s eyes. “The skin, I kept as sheer as possible by using as little as possible. I like to cover whatever’s required without over doing it because America has beautiful skin.” Linda said. On the cheeks, using finger-tip application, Linda applied Jouer’s Lip and Cheek Tint in Amaryllis, a sheer warm read which blended in to compliment America’s skin tone. On her eyes she applied a light and sheer shimmer all over the lid and inner corner of the eye, with a metallic silver shadow in the crease. Using a black pencil, Linda then applied a thin, defined line right above her lashes. Linda finished the eyes by applying 3 coats of Dior Blackout Mascara to America’s eyes to make them pop.
I can’t wait to see what she’ll look like at her next event, I’m sure it will be fabulous.
