About Us
During the day I work for a small company in accounts receivable but by night I’m a beauty editor for Product Girl, which I use as an excuse to go shopping every weekend. I like to call it “research” for the career I’d like to have one day. I obsess over my eyebrows and always have a Bonne Belle Dr. Pepper Lipsmacker on me… in case of an emergency. Product Girl began in September 2005. I had a personal blog at the time but didn’t want to annoy my readers with my talk about all the beauty products I was buying so I started Product Girl to share my favorite beauty products with others.. and little did I know that it would turn out to be the life changing experience that it has been. Since then, Product Girl has been featured in the New York Times, Womens Wear Daily Beauty Biz, The Nest and On Makeup Magazine. Product Girl has also been named a Top 50 Beauty Blog by Konector.
Among my must-have beauty products are highlighters, cheek stains and lip gloss. I paint my nails ritualistically every Sunday and I’m obsessed with enacting spa days at home – taking frequent bubble baths. My love for all things girly also extends to shoes. I’m on the short side, so a beautiful high heel is a great thing in my book. I’m a Wisconsin native and love to talk about my home state. Things like cheese and the Wisconsin Badgers – go Bucky! I currently live in the windy city of Chicago with my husband and Boston Terrier Betty. When I’m not at Sephora or chatting it up at the beauty counters, I’m an account executive for a public relations firm where I specialize in corporate communications. | |||
